Jeff Schick speaks !!!
According to the "Official" Howard Stern BB banned list by former member,1MeanBean, the number of banned members is now over 300 and counting.
The List
Why people are being banned and why threads and posts are being deleted is anyones guess but a few more guidelines were offered yesterday by the main man in charge Jeff Schick. A thread questioning the moderation at the board, instead of being deleted like most expected, is now stuck at the top of the board where Jeff Schick addressed some of the members' concerns.

On what the moderators have been told:
The moderators have instructions to remove -
threats, posts with personal information, posts regarding competitors,
plugs/advertising that are not sanctioned by the show,
hate posts regarding the show. They should not be changing thread titles or combining threads.
On posting criticism of the show:
Constructive Criticism and Suggestions are great,....
If the thread is framed - Things we would love to see on the E! Show
OR Things we DO NOT want to see on the E! Show
I think this is very much framing constructive criticism in the proper light...
Writing - The E! Show Sucks (or some aspect like this) is surely not constructive in the way the discussion is framed...I hope this make sense to you .
In regards to registeration being open:
I believe we will open back up within the next 72 hours.
For the people that have been banned:
If they want back on to the HSBB, they should send an email to moderator@howardstern.com for review and possible reinstatement.
We have implemented notification thru an email message for a warning or for revocation of an ID. The email should highlight the specific issue/transgression. This was started in the last week. There are many people that have been reinstated. I know that for sure.
How he became associated with the show:
I am a big fan of the show and had always thought that if I had the opportunity to meet the folks on the show, I would do the best job I could in providing technology and services that could support the show. I met Howard and the HS Show in 1993 when I called the show. In 1993, I was a field Systems Engineer at IBM providing technical support to a set of clients in NYC. Howard had been looking for a new computer. Gary Dell Abate , at the time, had a MAC and was able to play games and do some fun things. Howard had said on the air that he was looking at IBM, Apple,.. and if anyone that was from these companies were listening to please call in.
I tried to call the show and was able to get thru. I told John Melendez I was with IBM and that Howard wanted to speak with me on the air. John said he would put me thru on air and promptly dropped my call. I called back and managed to get back to John and he put me thru. It was my first time talking with Howard and I was basically making a sales call on the air in front of the audience. For sure I was nervous. I basically told Howard that we could do the things he was looking for and that he should come by IBM and see it. We are located right next door. KROCK was at 600 Madison Avenue and IBM is at 590 Madison Avenue. Howard told me to hang on and they would take my contact information to setup a meeting. It was on a Tuesday, the week before Thanksgiving. After the show, I talked with Laura Lackner, Howard's assistant. She scheduled HS to come to IBM that Thursday to see what we had.
From talking with Laura, I knew that they needed a general office solution for wordprocessing, a file server, a network and a solution to archive articles, photos, fan mail, ... We scheduled the demo for Thursday, the week before Thanksgiving.
From Tuesday to Thursday we prepared. That Thursday, Howard and Laura came to IBM after HS had been talking about this meeting for the last couple days. Outside IBM was camped Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy,.. We let Howard and Ronnie driving HS's car, into the IBM parking garage under the building. Laura had already arrived. I met HS in the parking garage to escort him up to the IBM Briefing Center. When HS got out of the car , the first thing he said to me was,...... - " J
On what else is being done:
....(I am)reading every post in this thread which means that I am taking into consideration all that is said... in the end , we want the best BB and for everyone to have fun. I am paying attention.
