Happy Holidays from Stuttering....ah....I mean John Melendez: A Class Act!!

I tired for a few years to get an in-the-mail autograph from Stuttering John when he was working with the Stern show--to no avail. I even wrote an article about my attempts to get autographs from him and the rest of the Stern crew for a national magazine,Autograph Collector,
(yes,I'm published, heh) and labeled John as the worst in-the-mail signer of the bunch. But before that issue even hit the newstands, I took my subscriber's copy to one of John's comedy shows and got to meet John and the gang, show him the article and got a nice in-person autograph right over his pic in the magazine. After his move to the Jay Leno show I decided to see if I could get an in-the-mail autograph from him from there and I sent a self addressed stamped envelope to the Tonight Show, care of John Melendez. BAM!! Two weeks later I got a nice personalized 8x10 from Johnny boy. The Jay Leno show certainly handles their autograph requests differently or I must have really left an impression on John when I met him for those brief few moments three years ago because, to my surprise, during Christmas week I received another signed 8x10 from John wishing me Happy Holidays!! WOW!!Thanks John and thanks Jay Leno. You not only cured John's stuttering problem, you also have converted him to the best in-the-mail autograph signer that I know of. Sending someone an autograph for the holidays out of the blue? That's a class act!!
