Jon Hein and Jessica Hahn were way off the mark about why the Howardshrine family think that Mutt the Pig's SFN is a disgrace to Howard and Sirius

Here are just a few examples of the messages I get about the cesspool. How come you people just don't get it? Are you afraid of the truth to be told too? Read this blog over and over again, until you do for God's sake. It's all here.

------

This message board is not just words, it's actually people on the other side showing their thoughts and emotions to one another. The reason I brought ************* over here is because I find her to be a wonderful caring passionate woman and wanted to give her a shot here as well. But when she mentioned the Shrine on SFN, she was immediately banned, called me on my cell phone, and told me that she was cancelling her SIRIUS accounts, which she did. Eventually she reinstated them but it hurts all of us when something like this happens. I'm not qutiting my SIRIUS account, nor will I ever think of it (I'm actually getting a new Stiletto next week.) I just want us all to get along.
-----

Doc - Thanks....the issue with me is I was gayed, at work, while doing research on Howard (specifically, marketing) for my company. It actually crashed the entire corporations computer system, almost got me fired, and may result in a lawsuit.

All I'm allowed to say.......

-----

I sent this email directly to the Howard Stern contacts. I intend on calling the show to complain sometime next week. Don't want to gain this much attention. But if that's the case, so be it.

---------------------------------------------------------

Good evening,

About 1 year ago, I attempted to establish an account on SternFanNetwork. I had trouble getting it verified, so I let it go. Since then, emails such as this have started to encroach on my email box. At first, I nicely requested that my email address be removed, or my account be closed. It has not. All the email addresses I have attempted to get to have bounced back. I also attempted to email through the board itself, and nothing back. These emails continued.

I finally got frustrated after no replies and submitted SFN to SpamCops and told HowardShrine about this problem. At first, I thought that the emails would stop. But then I recieved this email. It really pissed me off. I want these emails to be stopped.

According to the Can-Spam act, he needs to have a valid opt-in clause and an easy method for opting out. He does not have either. Furthermore, I don't feel I should have to continuously recieve emails like this as a part of a message board that I never got validated in.

As a webmaster, anyone who wished to opt-out of an email list or close an account would recieve a prompt response from me, in which I would close the account or opt them out. This board has not exercised proper ethics.

I'm not looking for attention. I'm not looking to be interviewed for a story. I'm not looking to be a part of a bit. I'm looking to stop these emails. They're annoying and I recieve enough emails on this account. If anyone could help me out with this, I appreciate it.

Thanks,
-----

Need more? Go visit the "chaotic" Speak your mind section of howardshrine.net and read the comments of all of the Stern fans and Bubba fans and, I might add Sirius subscribers, and read how they have been abused by Mutt the pig and his wrenched band of rats and sheep, all in the name of Howard Stern and Sirius radio.

How many other subscribers have we lost or almost lost because of their garbage?

Time and time again, I tell the show, and the news department, and Jon Hein, and anyone who will listen what the deal is, and time and time again it's either ignored, or distorted to make the Shrine look like the bad guy, the fallen angel, the satan of Sterndom.

Come to the light!!! Visit howardshrine.net and read the truth. Apparently, you are not going to hear it on the Stern show unfortunately.

Johnny Fratto's Custom Bike Giveaway

Mutt the pig on sternfannetwork announced yesterday that Johnny Fratto offered him a custom made bike to give away to one of his lucky sheep.

Mutt the pig:
SFN Beverly Hills Choppers Giveaway

Johnny Fratto is on hell of a guy. He calls me and within minutes says I need to come out to LA to see him, plugs his Son Of A Gun pasta sauce, tells me all about the new Tokyo Beverly Hills Chopper store, offers to give SFN a mini chopper to give away, metnions the new BHC jewelery line, and then wants to know how I think Meet the Frattos went. My head is still spinning. He cracks me up the way he gets business done but is still seems to be just having fun.

So anyway, he's gonna build us a mini chopper and I need to come up with a contest. Honestly, I want to keep it for myself but it's a giveaway so one of you bastards will get it. Johnny jr is send a mock up picture of it but we can make any changes we want. He had all kinds of suggestions but what we came up with was a color scheme based off the SFN logo. The logo itself will be stitched into the seat. He's going to send me the gas tank & the battery box so I can get them autographed by Stern Show VIPs. He's also going to install a Sirius radio with speakers. I'm not sure how that will work out but he want to be able to play Sirius so everyone can hear it.

I'll want you guys to help me design it and help me come up with a good contest. This should be really fun. maybe we'll give it away on new years. I'm not sure though. This is all just coming together.

---

And of course all the sfn sheep jumped in with their sheep comments: Give the bike to Ivan (one of the mods), keep it for yourself Mutt, you deserve it, How about you have to be a full member + buy a $20 or $25 chance! Just because it was given to you to give away doesn't mean you can't raise $$$ with it! and on and on...

I contacted Johnny Fratto via email and asked what was up with him giving SFN a bike, while I have been waiting for months for the autograph he promised me and here is what he said:

Johnny Fratto:

Sante, Sorry for not getting back to you. We have been in Japan opening a BHC store and just got back on monday. I will get the autograph to you by the end of the week. You have to understand that I dont really consider myself autograph worthy. As far as offering a chopper to them I would do the same for you to auction off for charity like they are. Im only trying to make friends where ever I go!!! Please feel free to call me anytime

I dont think any of the Stern websites are that into us anyway.

Sorry this has taken so long......

-----

Quite a difference don't you think? Mutt is going to have a "contest" to give the bike away to one of his sheep, and no doubt will, like suggested, try and make some money in the process for him and his pig family. It's all about the Benjamins with Mutt, and finding ways to line his pockets.

Yet, Johnny says the bike was promised to Mutt so that it can be auctioned off for charity.

Someone appears to be lying. Any guesses who that might be?

SFN continues to be a disgrace to Howard and the Show.

Get away from that place as fast as you can Johnny, just like Howard should.

Come to the Howardshrine family.....Come to the light!!!

(update)

posted by mutt:

Oct 2nd UPDATE: Johnny called yesterday to say the bike is done which is insane. The man moves quick. He made it hot hot yellow and will be sending photos shortly. The seat is still being stitched with our logo but the tank & the battery box are on the way so I can start collecting autographs from the Stern Show elite. I'm still not sure how we'll be giving it away but he says we can do anything we want with it.

My Interview with Mistress Rhiannon

Doc: The question on everyone's mind is: your breasts...real or fake?
Rhiannon: REAL BIG AND REAL EXPENSIVE SO I THINK YOU CAN CONCLUDE THAT THEY ARE MAN-MADE.
Doc: On the Stern show you said that your breasts are TRIPLE M. What are some of the problems you encounter with breasts that big?
Rhiannon: RUNNING USED TO BE A LARGE PORTION OF MY DAILY AEROBIC ACTIVITY UNTIL PROBABLY ABOUT 3 BOOB JOBS AGO. SINCE I HAVE YET TO FIND A TRULY GOOD SUPPORT BRA. I HAVE LIMITED MY AREOBIC ACTIVITY TO THE STAIR MASTER AND TREADMILLS. I SPEND TWO HOURS A DAY TRAINING MY BODY SO THAT I DO NOT DEVELOP THE SEVERE BACK PROBLEMS THAT SO MANY OF THE BUSTY MODELS COMPLAIN ABOUT. OTHER PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS ASIDE FROM VARYING MY EXERCISE REGIMENT WOULD INCLUDE THE INABILITY TO SLEEP ON MY BACK AND ABSTAINING FROM “MISSIONARY' POSITIONING DURING SEX. IT IS DIFFICULT FOR SOMEONE TO LIE ON MY FRONT UNLESS HE HAS ARMS THE LENGTH OF A MONKEY. AND EVEN IF HE COULD, HE WOULD GET A HELL OF A BICEP WORK-OUT.

Is Johnny no longer a friend of ours?

Have the liars of SFN gotten to him?

How high up does the conspiracy to keep the Shrine down go?

Fights of the Round Table

Fights of the Round Table

"And then all the guys that shut down your bulletin board, the guys that used to come to your bulletin board and cause trouble, they started their own bulletin board and that's called Sternchat. So basically like they're just the people that we feel don't get along well with other people." ~ quote from Mutt talking to Howard.

Interesting quote, if it were true. Shut down the HSBB? Hardly. Cause trouble...... probably. If Sternchat stands for anything, it stands for freedom. Freedom to express yourself any way you see fit. Sternchat members believe in one underlying principal that Howard preached so often, Freedom of Speech. When Howard began editing and censoring his own board, (The attack of the Motards), members took offense to this hypocrisy and as Stern fans are apt to do, lashed out. People were banned, feelings were hurt, alts were created, bitches were slapped, etcetera, etcetera.

Then, out of the darkness, the Knight Rider himself, fur chested lifeguard extraordinare, star cameo of the Spongebob Squarepants movie, David Hasselhoff created his own little board, mocking the board , known as the Pirate Stern Bulletin Board aka Sternchat.com. Some banned members congregated there but when the was closed unannounced, many members drifted through the internet, lost, unguided, and with nary a stripper to throw bologna at the HSBB. Sternchat.com became the halfway house for these cast away posters and a Koreshian commune was formed with a new owner Jeff (GdogX2). Members reveled in the new found ways to express themselves, lashing out at the establishment, raging against the machine, and fighting the man by photoshopping large phallic objects into every pic they could get their mitts on without fear of being warned, banned or worse (shudder) given the ghey!.Sternchat?

My Interview with Artie Lange by Brett Hickman

(Howardshrine.net post of the day)

Brett Hickman: How are your gigs going?

Artie Lange: Awesome, man. The crowds are amazing. It's like…they sold out quick and they're big Stern fans. They all seem to have Sirius. And they all know about Beer League, which is so cool. The movie's a two-and-a-half million dollar movie, but it's got the awareness of a small studio film. They all yell out the movie title and the date and shit.

I heard your little buddy, Dustin Diamond didn't show up for the Pittsburgh gigs. What happened with that? Did he even call you?

No. That motherfucker. I just heard through people at Stern 100 news that his agent called and said that ‘Dustin was shooting an independent film in LA and couldn't make it,' but I didn't know that until after the gig. It actually helped because I saved a couple grand and got ten minutes of material bashing him up front.

There ya go.

I'm glad he didn't show up because his end was gonna come out of my pay.

It sucks that he came on to the show and did that whole spiel about needing money to save his house. I think you were being more than fair offering him what you did.

I know! 'I couldn't get in touch with you.' In today's age you couldn't get in touch with me? Like, faxes, phone…you carry a phone. It was kind of a bullshit LA move. Like what movie is he doing that is paying him more than two grand? That's why I'm a horrible business man, I think I could have gotten away with two hundred.

Maybe just a coach seat on an airplane.

[laughs] For him and his big cock. I was able to do ten minutes about how he's the only loser in history to be depressed over the fact that he has a huge cock. You know how many people need a house that have a small cock?

(Update: Email Feedback)

We heard from the girl of the hour herself, and here is what she had to say:

Annette: "Being on the show was like a dream come true for me, even though they did make me out to be fat, which I am not but it was all in good fun. Artie's loss but it was incredible to get to talk to the crew. I guess I was just too much woman for him literally. Keep doing what you're doing Sternshrine!!!"

Coming to a Sirius radio near you: Jackie's Joke Hunt

From Jackie Martling's email newsletter:

be sure to tune in to...Jackie's Joke Hunt with Jackie Martling & Ian Karr Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. on Sirius Satellite Radio weakly on the Howard 101 channel it can only be fun!

Yeah, I'm going to be doing a radio show, on Sirius Satellite Radio, starting next Tuesday, with my good pal and fellow Friar, the very smart & funny & handsome & successful Ian Karr. (You may ask, what the hell does he need this aggravation for? Well, call us up and ask.)

The basic premise of the show is that after listening to us for an hour, we guarantee you'll come away with a great joke to tell to your friends, if you have any. (Of course, if they listen to the show, too, you're out of luck, our premise flies out the window, and I'll soon be back working in comedy clubs.
Wait...I am working in comedy clubs.)

We of course invite you to try to stump me with a joke, via the phone, e-mail (jackie@jokeland.com), letter, carrier pigeon, whatever. Anyone who stumps me will win some of the JokeLand crap I give out anyway.

All we guarantee is that it'll be fun. And if it's not, then obviously our guarantee sucked. Starting next Tuesday, and every Tuesday after that, I'll expect you to be speakerside with us at 7 p.m.

thanks...

j.

Irish John wants you to know....

Interview with a Jackass.........SteveO

Richard Livsey: What was it like working
on Jackass Number Two? How was
it different than the first one?

Steve-O: Jackass: The Movie had scary
moments. Number Two was pretty much
horrifying the whole time.

RL: Have you sustained many injuries
doing stunts over the years?

SO: I broke my cheekbone, seven teeth,
received ten stitches in my chin, and
broke my wrist....all in one fall. That was in
1995. I was an idiot back then.

RL: Describe your relationship with
Johnny Knoxville? Is it just professional
or do you guys hang out? If so, what do
you guys do for fun?

SO: Work can really wear us down, that's
why you can always find us at the bar.

John Mainelli chats with Chaunce Hayden

(Unemployed radio journalist vents to Chaunce Hayden. Story appears in Wednesday's Steppin' Out magazine)

YOU'RE FIRED
By Chaunce Hayden

Asshole of the Week alum Howard Stern has apparently gotten yet another journalist fired for writing not so nice things about him. In 2004, former FHM editor Jake Bronstein claimed he was canned after making a nasty blog comment about Howard’s girlfriend Beth Ostroksy. But a “Stern” call to his editor complaining about the jab meant the end of Bronstein’s career. Now New York Post radio columnist John Mainelli has landed on Stern’s growing list of unemployed journalists.
Last week Mainelli wrote in the Post about already reported claims that Stern’s popularity is dramatically on the decline, and that Stern is seeking to return to free radio. In retaliation, Stern went for Mainelli’s jugular by having his “people” release information about Mainelli’s radio consulting business, followed by well-placed calls to the Post. The shock jock accused Mainelli of having a hidden agenda against him, and that since Mainelli worked as a freelance radio consultant he must have an ax to grind against him. The New York Post listened to Stern’s diatribe, and by day’s end Mainelli was no longer employed by the paper.
Stern claims he didn’t get Mainelli fired. But don’t tell that to Mainelli... Actually we did tell that to Mainelli via email.

Here’s his response:

“Howard absolutely had me fired! He and his minions smeared me several days on the air and by phone calls, claiming unethical behavior at least and criminal behavior at worst, like manipulating Sirius’ stock. He also claimed I failed as a programmer, which is untrue and slanderous.”

Mainella continues:

"I think he went from the best to merely mediocre by losing his edge and, like Lucille Ball and Bob Hope in their twilight years, just phoning it in with repetitive, hokey schtick accompanied by non-stop huzzahs from shameless, high-paid sycophants like Robin Quivers and Artie Lange. I mean, hearing a 55-year-old man talking about "doody" and his bowel movements and stomach gas is really creepy."

Moral of the story: If you want to keep your job, only say nice things about Howard Stern...Unless of course, you work at Steppin’ Out.

HOWARD STERN OUT OF CONTROL by Chaunce Hayden

HOWARD STERN OUT OF CONTROL
or is the world picking on him?

By Chaunce Hayden

Howard Stern has gotten yet another journalist fired for writing not nice things about him. Several months ago former FHM editor Jake Bronstein was canned after making a not nice comment about Howard. But a quick and "Stern" call to his editor meant the end of Bronstein's career. Now NY Post radio columnist John Mainieli has landed on Stern's execution web of unemployed. Last week Mainelli wrote in the Post about a website that claims Stern's numbers and popularity are dramatically on the decrease. Not surprisingly, Stern went for Mainilli's jugular vain and had his "people" do the dirty work off air by announcing Mainelli also worked as a freelance radio consultant therefore he must have had an ax to grind against Howard. The NY Post listened to Stern's defense and by days end Mainelli was no longer employeed by the paper.
Only one problem with Stern's theory. Mainielli has been a supporter and fan of the show for many years. In fact, 24 hours after the attack on the World Trade Center Howard offended a lot of 9/11 victims when he offered to send strippers to Ground Zero. The Post was prepared to write an extremely negative story on the shock jock until Mainielli stepped in and got the story killed.
It's no secret that Howard can dish it out but truth be told...he can't take it. This past spring Neil Cavato of FOX news asked me to comment on Howard's satellite show. I brought to Cavato's attention that the show features commercials and censors it's content even though early promo's said it would be commercial free and uncensored. The next day Howard made a call to Cavato and demanded demanded an on air apology...and got it! Most recently I was mentioned in the NY Daily News Rush and Molloy gossip page as a source regarding a story about Howard not attending Gary Dell'Abate's (Howard's producer) dad's funeral. Stern immediately called the column and demanded an apology, which he got.
Moral of the story. If you want to keep your job, only say nice things about Howard Stern....Unless of course you work at Steppin Out.

Howard Stern gets John Mainelli fired?

Mr. Mainelli was interviewed by Opie and Anthony on old fashion radio for approximately 15 minutes this morning, and he claims that is exactly what happened, and that this article is the most accurate and truthful article about the situation. Shrine 100 news is now looking for the audio from this morning and we will be posting it hopefully sometime later today so check back.

In the meantime, here is the end of the interview that Shrine 100 News was able to record. In this clip you will hear John Mainelli reveal for the first time that he was responsible for sqaushing a story that the paper wanted to run just after 9-11. Howard Stern is a pig for saying that we should send chicks down to ground zero to service the workers. John Mainelli also believes that Howard will return to old fashion radio to help get Sirius some much needed cash. Something like that.

Stern Warning Gets Post Writer Canned

JOCK SLAP SternHoward Stern's words may not carry the same weight now that he's on satellite radio, but he's still got enough juice to get a pesky critic fired. John Mainelli, the New York Post writer who irked Stern by reporting a rumor that he would return to terrestrial radio with his tail between his legs on Tuesday, has left the paper after receiving an ultimatum from editor in chief Col Allan.
Allan told Mainelli Wednesday that he had to choose between his freelance job covering the radio industry for the Post and his lucrative sideline consulting for radio stations and owners. "I consider myself fired," Mainelli tells Radar. "I can't live on what I earn from the Post."

Interview with Artie Lange

Artie how has life on the Stern Show, and especially its hours, been working out for someone, as a stand-up comic, whose schedule used to be exactly the opposite?

Artie Lange: The only part of the job that feels like work is getting up early. The rest is like being in third grade throwing spitballs all day. That early schedule dominates your life. Then I go weekends and I got to do a turnaround. Now I am nocturnal for the weekend, then Monday I have to get back to it. Probably to tell you the truth, I will be dead soon if I don’t stop this. (laughing)

(An awful lot of the banter on the Stern Show involves the cast busting one another’s chops. Artie, due to his self-effacing sense of humor and comments like the one above, mostly gets hit regarding his weight, drinking, smoking, eating, and general lack of good health.)

: How much of that really gets under your skin?

Artie Lange: Some days, you’re just in the mood where nothing can fuck with you. Some days, you’re not in the mood to hear anything. You get angry. Howard’s good at pushing those buttons. But everybody gets it. It’s fun dishing it out, but if you dish it out you have to take it. If you can’t take you should really leave the show. Some comics said when I got the gig, being funny is just one of the qualifications. You’ve got to have a thick skin. There are some comics who can’t deal with this ball breaking; they’d hit someone with a bat. I’ve had a lot of training in getting insulted over the years. I’m fine with it. But some days you’re not into it, you could lose it.

: Yeah, sometimes those feelings tend to bleed out over the air.

Artie Lange: Well everybody does… some days, like Fred (Norris) can’t deal. Plus the fact it’s so early and the crankiness, hell I’ve wanted to strangle everybody on the show. Stuttering John (Melendez -- current announcer for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno) was the biggest. He would get to you, he could get under your skin and I mean I almost punched him in the face on the air, several times.

John got under everyone’s skin…he’s a good guy, a friend of mine, yeah I love John, I did the road with him for awhile…I still talk to him and I wish him the best. He’s good, he’s got a great family, his wife’s awesome…but John can get under your skin, especially if you’re workin’ with him all week, and then you do the road with him. You’re in some motel in Cincinnati after a shitty gig and you have to share a room for whatever reason…John comes up with one of them famous awful farts that makes you wanna like, you know, put a gas mask on…it’s like “what’s stopping me from throwing you out a window right now?!?” (laughing)

(Artie, like everyone else on the Stern show, seems to have no problem sharing the most intimate of details about his life. Artie has told stories of some of the awful things that have happened to him and that he has done, stories most people would tend to forget ever happened, usually resulting in some of the show’s funniest moments.)

: Has Howard (Stern) or anyone has ever declared something “off limits” on the air.

Artie Lange: You don’t know, and Howard never had a conversation with me like that either. It’s so weird…everyone asked me when I got the gig “did he sit you down and go ‘don’t talk about it?’” It’s never happened; he just lets stuff get worked out on the air. He really likes doing it…he likes walking that line. Somebody says something on the air he doesn’t like, he’ll just, you know, push the button, and then we have a little delay now in case someone says something and then you have to know not to ever bring it up again. He just lets you figure it out for yourself.

To certain people, you know, certain actors, there are rumors about them being gay, and some people are very litigious with that. Like Tom Cruise sues everybody, so Howard is very conscious of that. He’s a high profile guy and one of the first jokes I told when I got the job on the air, it’s still one of my favorite jokes ever told on the air, but Howard had to hit the button. He (Cruise) was married to Nicole Kidman, and I said “Nicole Kidman…Australian for beard;” obviously implying Tom Cruise was gay, and he (Howard) laughed but he hit the button and afterwards he said I can’t have any inference…or else he’ll sue us, and I said “you know, okay”… you live and you learn. But he never sat me down off the air and said “don’t do it” he let me find out on the air.

: So, there are no secrets? The cast has nothing to hide?

Artie Lange: Well, I mean, the truth is, there are. I mean, obviously there’s things in our personal lives that just aren’t brought up on the air… but we do bring up a ton of shit more than the average people do. The show is about our life and I’ve offered up stories and it’s like therapy. Afterwards I’m walking up Sixth Avenue in a daze like “what did I just say?!?” And my uncles and aunts and stuff are hearing stories for the first time; that I shit my pants in a gas station, they never heard it before I was on the radio. It took awhile to get that chemistry too…they (Howard, Fred, Robin) were already like a jazz band. For me it took awhile to learn like, when your solo is, when you come in and talk…he (Howard) hates when you talk over people. I figured it out now and it’s a good on air team. The truth is, I wouldn’t leave to do another radio show. I’m on the New York Yankees of radio, why go to the Devil Rays? If I left it would be for television or a movie career.

Sternfannetwork's Wikipedia listing

We were contacted by one of the editors at Wikipedia and were told that the sternfannetwork listing was being tampered with, and if it was one of us, to please stop. No one from the Howardshrine family was responsible for the tampering I assured her. This morning, I saw the latest entry linked on superfansonline and some of the super fans there thought that this new entry was also the result of a tampering, possibly by a disgruntled former SFN member (there are hundreds now, and more each day) After reading the entry, I disagree. I believe that this account of the history of the SFN cesspool is about as positive of a spin one of the SFN rats could write without out and out lying, and surprisingly it is fairly accurate.(except for the computer hacking part)

Do you agree with this SFN Wikipedia entry? Send your comments to howardshrine@aol.com. Send my your version of what you think the SFN Wikipedia listing should look like and we will post them here.

Stern Fan Network (SFN) is a popular Howard Stern fan internet forum. Even before Stern launched his two channels on Sirius Satellite Radio the Stern Fan Network had become very popular to not only the fans, but the show's staff as well. Members of the site have become frequent guests on Howard 100 News and the Superfan Roundtable.

Stern was quoted in January of 2006 as saying he was, "off the Stern Fan Network". Stern had recently been critical of the forum's increasing number of negative topics. Despite this, Stern continually brings up topics he reads on the SternFanNetwork and has claimed he is “addicted" to reading it (saying that it is 'like crack').

The Stern Fan Network was created in 2000 by Mutt. Mutt is what is considered a "super fan" of Howard. He started the website with no prior web design experience and has used the experience to learn and evolve.

Initially, SFN consisted of a relatively small community of Howard Stern fans. This first phase of SFN encompassed the years 2000 and 2001, a period referred to as "SFN 1." Its growth during that time can be attributed in part to show regular Joey Boots, one of the earliest SFN members, winning the "Pornoween" contest, and the appearances of Crazy Cabbie, which generated a now-defunct "ihatecabbie.com" website that was linked to SFN. Unlike today's SFN, during the SFN 1 phase, virtually all SFN members were familiar with one another. There were no "SFN Supporters" who donated money to the site in order to obtain full posting privileges and custom avatars. Mutt allowed regular users to customize their own avatars simply by emailing them to him.[1] However, in August 2001, Mutt was forced to shut down SFN because of the computer hacking activities of three members. In September 2001, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Mutt reopened SFN. However in December of 2001, the site shut down again, and did not re-open until March 2002.[2]

In May 2002, the "SFN 2" phase began. This period, which ran until approximately mid-2004, saw an ever-increasing number of members. SFN 2 ushered in what was then called "SFN VIP" status, which allowed users to "support" the site by giving a small donation via PayPal, in return for which the user was allowed to upload attachments to their posts, upload a custom avatar, use private areas of the board, and send private messages.[3]

In mid-2004, around the time that Stern announced that a message board would be created on his website, howardstern.com[4], SFN experienced another period of growth due to the interest generated by Stern in using message boards to talk about his show. Thus began the "SFN 3" phase. It was during this phase that the process of temporarily banning users to the "Time Out" forum began.[5] Site rules against criticizing the increasing number of show regulars who used SFN or harrassing female members, which had been unevenly enforced before at best, were now regularly enforced.[6] Users sent to "time out" who continued their misbehavior were given "dead accounts." Other users who committed particularly egregious violations frequently "got the gay," which meant that they were banned and any attempt by them to access the site led to their being redirected to a page loaded with gay pornography with an accompanying loud audio file that announced that the user was looking at such pornography.

SFN's fourth phase began simultaneously with Stern's move to SIRIUS Satellite Radio in January 2006. Stern's acknowledgement of the site on his show led to a doubling of the number of users, many of whom had been former posters on the by-then defunct Howard Stern Bulletin Board on howardstern.com. This influx of membership led to a number of criticisms that SFN had become much what the Howard Stern Bulletin Board was, in that posts on the front page of the site's main forum, General Chatter, slipped to the back pages within minutes of the time they were posted. Another criticism was of the new users running up post counts to previously unheard of numbers, often by just posting smiley faces, random pictures, pointless and/or content-less messages, or posting just for the sake of posting or to grab attention. To keep matters under control and to avoid the fate that befell the Howard Stern Bulletin Board, Mutt and his staff had to rigorously enforce the site rules. According to Joey Boots, the forum moderator who is Mutt's top "enforcer" mod, "a site has to have an asshole like me keeping order . . . this place runs smooth."[7]

Stern on SFN
Stern brought up that he was reading the Stern Fan Network and that many of the posters were criticizing the fact that he’s rerecording his old bits. Stern went on to claim that he’ll never visit the web site again, adding that, although reading about himself is usually his greatest pleasure, he can’t deal with negative comments. Fred Norris then mentioned that he can’t believe some of the people on the site refer to themselves as “fans” of the show when all they do is complain. Norris added that “the idiots” on the Stern Fan Network are dictating what Stern thinks, and that he shouldn’t let their remarks get to him. When Stern warned Norris that he was going to get nailed on The Stern Fan Network because of his remarks, Norris responded that he didn’t care what the posters wrote about him.

(UPDATE: hahaha oh,ok. Bob Thorney, former mod of SFN who was wrongly banned for life because Joey Boots doesn't like him, sent me what was posted BEFORE someone fixed the entry.)

The Stern Fag Network was created in 2000 by Mutt. Mutt is what is considered a "super fag" of Howard. He started the website with no prior web design experience and has used the experience to learn and evolve. Eventhough the site design sucks horribly to this day.
Initially, SFagN consisted of a relatively small community of Howard Stern fans. This first phase of SFagN encompassed the years 2000 and 2001, a period referred to as "SFN 1." Its growth during that time can be attributed in part to show regular Joey "I suck cock" Boots, one of the earliest SFagN members, winning the "Pornoween" contest, and the appearances of Crazy Cabbie, which generated a now-defunct "ihatecabbie.com" website that was linked to SFN. Unlike today's SFN, during the SFN 1 phase, virtually all SFN members were familiar with one another. Botom line: SFN bans anyone who crosses the ever asshol-like Mod's. You will "get the gay" which is so lame it almost should not be mentioned. Mutt also seems top think he is part of the show and Howard put him in his place last week - bring your fucking wife to a show summit - you ass - then tell howard how to market his channels - brilliant! Duchebag![7]

Stern fan board wars shaping up to a two board war: Howardshrine.net vs Sternfannetwork.com

Alexa.com is "reporting" today that howardshrine.net is pulling away from ALL of the other Stern fan message boards and, despite having no support from the Stern show and Sirius radio like sternfannetwork, is closing in on the cesspool with each passing day. howardshrine.net vs sternfanetwork.com, David vs Goliath, quality vs quantity, truth vs lies. Keep up the good work True Fans of Stern. Against all odds and some say conspiracy, we are being heard.

at a distant third is sternchat.com and falling with the departure
of many of their members to the new Rocky's Rubber Room.

Other Stern fan messsage boards, like superfansonline and the Howard Stern web forum are nowhere in site of the top two boards.

My "Beer League" review by Chaunce Hayden

Chaunce's review of Beer League:

Artie Lange's Beer League proved three things:

1. Artie will be a part of the Howard Stern show until the day he dies.. which could be any day.

2. Howard will never be called the "King Of All Movie Reviewers"

3. Anyone with a video camera can make a movie.

My "Beer League" review by Johnny McCarthy

Just here to give my review on Beer League. Since I was in the movie, it is easy for me to like it. First of all, hanging out with everyone is always a BLAST. Where do I start! I got to the theatre at about 2, and actually watched the film before anyone was even there. I owned the theatre basically. The movie starts off with Artie being a drunk loser, who is a landscaper from time to time. He went to high school with a guido asshole who he hates. They are always competing on the field, and off. For some reason, Artie fucks alot of chicks too. He also lives with his mother, which is hilarious because she seems to always show up at the wrong time. My favorite line in the movie is" I got cockblocked by my mom!" He was just about to get a blow job. The team is always fighting, and they make a bet. Whoever loses leaves the softball league. Ralph Machio is Artie's best friend, who is the prim and proper type. His wife hates Artie, but Ralph loves Artie.(not in a gay way. The start of the season is not good for Artie. They go 0-5, and it looks bleek. But Artie is born again. He start to take things serious on the field, and off. They start to pull it all together and ............. I can't tell you the end but you can figure it out. GO SEE THE MOVIE! YOU WON"T REGRET IT.

Breaking Shrine 100 News: Alicia the hodeo goon faked her orgasm on the sybian

and,as hard as it is to believe, we have uncovered a message board who got a bigger "scam" going than sternfannetwork.

You decide you would like to be a member of a message board so you sign up, read the rules, and make your first post. A few regulars warn you to be careful what you say. Huh? I read the rules. No violation there. You make a few more messages. Suddenly, someone calls you a name. More regulars join in. Cries of ban this new guy are heard from the elite group of posters. Wha wha what? A few more posts, and suddenly this is what can only be described as an internet wilding. Mob mentality takes over. This guy must be removed. The mods are notified and you are banned. No more soup for you. And not only are you banned, you are exposed to some porno on your way out. One of the rules of the board was no posting of porno yet they say goodbye to you with porno? Not only that, they then tell you that if you would like to be unbanned, simply pay us and we will let you back. Sound familiar? No, I am not talking about sternfannetwork, who basically does the same thing. I am talking about a place even more awful. www.somethingawful.com. That is exactly what happened to me yesterday, except for one small detail. I had to pay $9.95 for the priviledge of making 20 or so posts. But it was my very first post that was the reason for me being banned (although the explanation given in the ban list page is quite different. I imagine that is the case for most of the people whose money was taken, then banned, then asked for more $$$$. All in a matter of a few hours.) Quite the "scam" they got going, don't you think?

It all began when a member of my board mentioned to me that Alicia, who was on the show for the Hodeo contest was a member there. I followed the link, and hesitated when I was asked for money to be a member. But I figured, what the hell. I just wanted to see if she would like to talk about her experience on the show for my column on deansplanet, plus I can check out how the site is run, and maybe get some ideas for my board. I paid my $9.95 and made this post, the post heard round goon land.

Here was the reason I was given for me being banned:

Doesn't seem to match, does it? Very sfn-like.

You can read the reasons the "money machine" banned other people
here

Here is the page that greets me now when I log in:

click on only if you would like to see the porn this site exposed
my son to who was behind me when I tried logging in. Don't worry, it's only one pic, not a series of gay pics that loop over and over again like sternfannetwork does. (in a related story, I heard another law suit may be coming down the pike for that particular practice. Way to go sfn, all in the name of Howard Stern and sirius radio)

clicking on the link on that page takes you back to where you pay again.

ok, I made the son part up........but it could happen.

Here are the two threads taking about the hodeo.

The pre sybian ride thread

thread one

The thread I got to participate in for $9.95

thread 2

Maybe I am missing something. Please send your input to howardshrine@aol.com and I will post your comments about this story.

Maybe sternfannetwork isn't so bad afterall. Although Mutt and company have clearly taken a page out of the SA playbook to run their site, as least they don't have you pay before banning you.........not yet anyway.

(EMAIL FEEDBACK)

You're latest posting about Alicia exactly sums up the kind of culture SA has. I'm a member there, but kind of loathe it. I have an active account so I can post on forums / read them at work, but I am not too enthused about the community. Just like SFN. I have an active account there, too.

Anyway, the SA Forums are a money-making scheme, that's for sure. They ban people for the stupidest reasons. They even joke around by posting in the explanation area "Donation to Richard Lowtax's childs college fund" and stuff like that.

I wonder how big Lowtax's house is, probably huge. He makes six-figures a year from the site, donations, merch he sells, and the bans / forum system.

Personally, I think he's an overrated scumbag. Oh well. It's cool to be elite and if you don't agree with what the popular cliques there think then you're a fuckhead and deserve a ban.

My Interview with Vinnie Penn

Who? Vinnie Penn is the comedian who was sitting in the Jackie Chair on the most memorable Howard Stern show ever, the 9-11 show. You would think he would be a household name in the Stern world, but for some reason he seems to have been forgotten, getting very little attention this week. Even I, the Greatest Howard Stern of All Time, had a hard time remembering Vinnie and his involvement on that unforgetable day. I thought it would be cool to do an interview with Vinnie so other Stern fans can learn more about this seemingly forgotten funny man.

Vinnie's website

Doc: Of course your most memorable appearance was the 9-11 show. Tell us about that day. Did you stay the whole time? What was going through your mind when that all went down, and how do you feel about that day now looking back?

Vinnie: It was incredible. I was the last one in the room to catch onto the seriousness of it. Gary kept coming back in to give updates, but the show was going on as planned. The first plane hitting seemed like it could be anything so I kept cracking jokes. By the second plane hitting, and the first building coming down, it was obvious it was a terrorist attack. The show switched gears immediately. Gary said Bush was going to be speaking, and I commented that I'd rather hear what Martin Sheen had to say, which got laughs, which I think has since been edited from the show. The show changed my life. I went back to a hotel room alone that night, decided I was going to quit my show, pursue other things, and I got married in Vegas a few weeks later. By the next year I was a father.

Sal's online apology to Mutt the Pig and his whore

Sal the pantysniffer:

I am truly sorry for my actions and any embarasment I have caused you. You guys have always been so good to me and I never thought that my stupid antics would come down to this. What started out as a goof has snowballed into a tremendous amount of grief for us all.
Kim and Jeff have treated me like family, their warmth and hospitality always made me feel special and there are no words for the affection I share for them. We've been to many shows together and have had a tremendous amount of laughs. My problem is I got too comfortable and unfortunatley felt I could goof around with them like I goof with the show. It was wrong, selfish, and stupid and I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.

Kimba the whore:

Okay, so she just walked into my room where I have been listening to the show this morning. She's been in bathroom getting ready for school, and listening as well. Now that they've moved on to another subject, she walks into my room with a big smile on her face and says:
"So, mom, you know what I think? I think I should be on the Super Fan Round Table this weeks so that my dad can ask me questions about Sal sniffing my underwear." and she chuckles and then walks back to the bathroom to finish getting ready.
I'm pretty sure she isn't scarred for life or anything like that. In fact, she is excited to go to school and joke about it with her friends.
Not saying it's okay for anyone to sniff her panties or take advantage of her in any way, but I'm just saying, she's fine. And Sal is not a pedophile.

UPDATE:

Nevermind. The thread has already been deleted. And censorship rears its ugly head once again at Howard Stern's "official" fan cesspool

UPDATE: Finally got to hear the beginning of the Sal apology that I missed this morning and I heard Howard say that Sal posted an apology on SFN. Do you think that Howard cares that that thread is nowhere to be found. Threads come and go all the time at the
SFN cesspool, but a thread the King himself promoted on the show?
Maybe someone needs to talk to Mutt the pig about cross promotion.

Who is the 9-11 show mystery man???

An old school sternfannetwork member and friend from back in the day (when SFN was cool) contacted me via instant message and asked me this question:

Who was the person sitting in the Jackie Chair on 9-11? He went on to tell me that the person is blocked out on the Howard TV show, and he is never acknowledged during the broadcast. I quickly turned on Howard TV to see for myself when Dean from deansplanet.com contacted me too telling how funny he thought the show was today. I told him about what I had just heard. He quickly went to the tape as well and pulled these two screen shots. A blond man it looks like. A technical guy? Who is this 9-11 mystery man? If you have the answer please email me at howardshrine@aol.com and look for updates as the True Fans of Stern solve this mystery.

Benji, Fred, and ????

UPDATE: One of our blog readers has solved the msytery. Not such a mystery afterall.

"It's comedian Vinnie Penn. He is acknowledged early on in the show."

Thanks to Jim from Canada.

Dean also found the answer quickly and posted the answer at the shrine

here

I was listening to today's show and they mentioned that Artie wasn't in that day (9-11) instead, a comedian named Vinnie Penn was in. Artie said that he was scheduled to be on the show every day that week except for that Tuesday.

I listened to the whole show a hundred times and I don't remember him even opening his mouth once

A Howardshrine Exclusive: Steve O's Dad?

One of our readers sent me this. He claims Steve O's dad is the first guy

Source

Also one of our Shrine broadcaster is reporting that this chick will be one of the participants in the Ho-De-O contest later this week on the Howard Stern show.

UPDATE 9-13

A little bit more info for anybody that's curious.

Her name is Alicia, she's travelling to NY right now, to appear on the show tomorrow. She's single, and librarian from Chicago, who apparently has a D cup. For her song she's leaning towards take me out to the ballgame (she had a list she's gotta pick from that Will gave her, they're all in the public domain) although she might see if she can do the Ralphy Cakes song instead.

UPDATE: correction. alicia is NOT a librarian but she does work at a library.

Page 71: Dana has found new love!!

Page 71 has just been informed that in this week's Steppin' Out magazine, Chaunce Hayden reports that Artie Lange's long time girlfriend Dana has found new love! A source close to Dana tells Chaunce that Dana has been seeing someone new for 3 months now...... That will put a damper on any relationship. More info coming in by the hour so stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE: Chaunce Hayden contacted Page 71 concerning this item, and here is what he had to say:

Chaunce Hayden:
"In this week's Steppin Out, I report that Artie Lange's long time girlfriend Dana has been dating a handsome young buck (not Artie) for the past 3 months. The million dollar question is:
Will Dana wait for the "Beer League" reviews to come in before she finally decides between Artie and her good looking boy toy? Unfortunately for Artie, we hear Dana has already made her choice... Could it be Dana saw an advance screening?"

Page 71 has also learned that this email was sent to several Stern show and Sirius radio people attending the big Howard 100 and 101 meeting today:

subject:for the meeting

make sure you bring up sternfannetwork sending people gay pornography and sending out newsletters (spam) without giving people the proper option to unsubscribe in the name of howard stern and sirius radio.

Page 71 has also learned today that Liz Aeilo, former head of the Howard 100 news team, is no longer working for Howard Stern.

"I no longer work for Howard Stern. I was named VP & General Manager of Martha Stewart Radio about a month ago..."

Shrine wack packer Dave says Goodbye!!!

HOWARD STERN DOESN'T LEAVE ME HANGING by Richard Livsey

As the King Of All Media relives the show's All-Time Top Ten Moments, I take a trip back to February 14, 1997 and revel in one of mine.

I was fresh out of journalism school back then, and not only was I a total fan, but my Stern interview was going to be my biggest story to date. The one that could put me on the proverbial map.

The press junket was held on Valentine’s Day at the Rihga Royal Hotel in New York. The place was buzzing with media and studio executives. Yet somehow amidst all that controlled chaos, I had a brief, yet significant moment with Stern. One that taught me more about him than the questions that I asked.

"Getting the Gay" at sternfannetwork in the name of Howard Stern

Learn more what it means to "Get the Gay" at sternfannetwork in the name of Howard Stern and Sirius Radio Here

Do you think this kind of practice is appropriate for supposedly the unofficial official fan site of Howard Stern and Howard 100 and Howard 101 and the host of the Super Fan Roundtable to be doing to Sirius subscribers and Stern fans in the name of Howard Stern?

Let Shrine 100 News know at howardshrine@aol.com

Howard Stern at sternshow@howardstern.com
Tim Sabean at tsabean@sirius.com
Steve Langford at SLangford@siriusradio.com
George Flowers at gflowers@siriusradio.com.

When are they going to listen? When Sirius no longer gets free shows in exchange for website plugs? Or maybe when enough Sirius subscribers decide to drop their service?

(Feedback)

Doc: It looks like the "Getting of the Gay" has been mellowed considerably in the last few months. Keep up the goodwork True Fans. Our efforts are obviously paying off. At least now people don't have to shut down their computers, to make it stop, losing unsaved work, like in the past when Mutt had the script on sfn.

The True Fans react

Vicki writes:

You have to expect no less from a douchebag like Muttfuckface. He is hedrich himmler jr. The goblin commands...you know the rest.
I did notice how you are imploring people to email sirius workers about muttdouche's behavior. You know that's a waste of time. Muttydouche is simply doing a much better job of sucking goblin ass. And for that he is untouchable. I feel sorry for you in that you really believe that the goblin actually cares about his few remaining fans. He couldn't care less who muttfuckface fucks with.
Dissent is not allowed. muttdouche as himmler jr. has been endowed by goblin to set the bar on dissent and deal out the punishment. Goblin only wants results and doesn't care who muttdouche pisses all over to get them. I'm still waiting for you to rename your BB and shout out the truth about goblin. It is fascinating to watch you go through the slow process until you finally have had enough abuse from goblin and his gestapo enforcers. I have used this story before, but it bears repeating. During nazi times in germany, if political officials did fucked up things, the general public would always say, "if only the fuherer knew." They believed that hitler would be pissed off at some of the shit that went on, and that he was truly unaware of it. But just as with the goblin. hitler and goblin both know everything that is going on, but act dumb so their bullies can take the blame. Goblin is shitting all over you and you don't even realize that he is well aware of muttdouche's tactics and repression of real fans like yourself.
I am hoping to write some scathing goblin stuff for your board for Halloween, Thanksgiving at the latest. So let me know when you have finally had enough of the abuse.
