My conversation with Boffman!!

Today, Howard Stern's chess name at the chess board he plays at was revealed on SFN. Apparently it was on HowardTV, and one of the fans captured a screenshot. The name has since been removed from SFN, but not before it was posted all over the web. Not only his chess name, Boffman, but also his stats.

I tried the website for a free week and I have to say that Howard's stats aren't too shabby. I had a tough time with those 5 minute Blitz games. 1121 is respectable.

Just for the hell of it, I put the name Boffman in my AIM and sure enough a Boffman immediately popped up with the icon of a man fishing in a boat. Could this be Howard? Fishing was his last hobby. Hmmm...What is the first thing you say to Howard Stern except Hey Now. I almost shit my pants when Boffman answered back, but it turns out not only wasn't this Boffman the main man, it didn't sound like he was much of a Howard fan either. haha

TSSN and our members should strongly consider respecting Howards privacy when it comes to this information that SFN leaked. I personally don't feel a true fan should exploit this information. We at TSSN and our members need to send a message of higher standards.

As we all know it's rare that he has any privacy what so ever. Even though that's part of the package for being famous, as fans, we should at least give Howard 1 thing in life that he can do/enjoy without every detail about it being made public.


Please show your support in this thread by agreeing that Howard should be left alone and everyone should give him some privacy when it comes to his online chess. Think about everything Howard has brought to us, we can at least give something back to him in return.

The super fans and the new guy continues to be clueless. What is the Shrine's position on the whole thing, the TRUE FANS of Stern? Shit happens. Personally, I signed up for six months on Howard's chess board, I bought a new chess set today, and two books on chess. I plan on learning the Hypermodern opening as taught by Eric Schiller(shh..don't tell) and I'm taking that mother fucker out. I hit the 900 mark today. The rust is coming off. Watch out boffman, I'm comin' to get ya.
