From the Howardshrine Mailbag: Should Joey Boots be fired from his only job feedback

hingefactor:

Greetings,

I noticed you had a story about the Joey Boots V Tech jerk off thread.I started a thread of my own in which I asked Mutt to discipline Boots for that horrible thread. I would say reaction to the Boots thread was leaning towards thinking it was ok...but there were many people such as myself who didn't like it, including Bob Levy who talked some sense into Boots. Subsequently, Boots deleted the thread, and received praise for doing so...even though he had to be convinced to do so. Deleting the thread also deleted the posts by people who thought it was great to jerk off to these victims, and one person even went as far to actually jerk off on printed versions of the photos Joey included in his thread. In my thread (i'm hingefactor on SFN) Mutt made a post telling me to Shut the Fuck Up...and Joey was merely saying those girls were hot. That is complete bullshit. Posting graphics of dropped loads next to photos of victims is much more then calling them hot. Needless to say, when I responded to Mutts request that I STFU, in which I merely said that I was disappointed that people, including Mutt, didn't get why the thread was wrong, I had my account put on hold...even though Joey himself acknowledged that the thread was in bad taste.

I find this all to be pretty funny. In the SFN rules, Mutt states that it's ok to express your opinion, even if it's negative...and that SFN isn't into censorship, which is exactly what they did to me. I'm sure Howard would love that. Also, in voicing his support for Boots, Mutt (who appears on Sirius on the Stern Fan Roundtable) is pretty much committing the same kind've thing that Imus did...but he's not going to get any shit about it. It's interesting that SFN has created a group of internet celebrities like Boots, who are known to people, but can get away with shit like this because they are only known to the Stern community. Honestly, I wish the whole story got out to the public, just to illustrate the insensitivity and lack of empathy that some people can show. As for me, i'm done with SFN. Fuck them.
