Sternchat.com to close March 12th

Jeff, the owner of sternchat.com announced that he will be closing the board on March 12th unless a buyer can be found. sternchat.com was originally launched by a member of Howard's bulletin board the same day that Howard's board was closed. All of the trolls that ruined Howard's board migrated to the new board and continued their stupidity and debachery. Shortly after the new board opened it was sold to the current owner for a reported $10,000.

What will the trolls that ruined Howard's board do now? Two other boards started by disgruntled former sternchat members already exist: Dead Mike's sternplanet.com, and Rocky Balboner's rockysrubberroom.com. Many of the trolls post at both boards now. Which board will benefit the most? Which will be the next to fail? Will both boards cooperate, or will the troll board wars continue?

Although all are welcomed at the Shrine, I hope that not too many of the trolls come knocking at our door. Most of them have proven already that they are not up to the Shrine challenge.

Stern has lost his No. 1 spot

A year into his new gig at Sirius Satellite Radio, Howard Stern has a lot more money, an engagement ring and what he says is far greater peace of mind.

What he doesn't have, according to the leading radio trade magazine Talkers, is his former stature as the most important talk radio host in America.

Talkers' annual "Heavy Hundred" list drops Stern from the No. 1 spot, which he held last year, to No. 12 (see below).


"He's still doing very well," says Michael Harrison, editor of Talkers. "But this list is about what's hot - and you just don't hear about Stern the way you did before he went to satellite. People don't talk about what he said the way they used to.


"A year ago, he had put satellite on the map. He was a liberal talk voice, even though that's not how people defined him, who got huge ratings. He pioneered a style of FM talk.


"He absolutely deserved to be No. 1. But that was then and this is now. We had to ask what talk hosts are most important in the radio industry now."


"Some people are furious about this list," says Harrison. "But Opie and Anthony, for instance, are now the biggest thing in FM talk. They belong where they are. And so does Stern."


Stern does remain a potent radio touchstone. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), in opposing the proposed XM/Sirius satellite radio merger, asked the FCC "to weigh whether an industry that makes Howard Stern its poster child should be rewarded with a monopoly platform for offensive programming."


NAB executive vice president Dennis Wharton, under whose name the statement was issued, said he's been bombarded with angry E-mails from Stern fans.


Stern himself has been on vacation this week and has not commented on the merger or the NAB. Very likely he will.

This is starting to get hysterical.
As the fearful little animals scamper to a safe, dry spot on the sinking ship of lies, characters are exposed and karma is radiantly beautiful.

My agent from the Gersh agency, who is the same guy that represents Carlos, spoke to me on the phone today. He told me that he was being "put in the middle of this thing, and forced to make a choice." He said that Carlos wanted to get on the phone with me and end this once and for all, and get this... wanted an apology.
If I didn't do this, he wanted the Gersh agency to either drop me, or he would leave them.

I told them that was fucking hilarious, and said that it's been fun working with them. The fact that they would even consider asking me to do something like that meant I was going to leave them anyway, but the sheer stereotypical "hollywood" nature of conversation actually fucking shocked me.
It was like a scene in a movie. Not even a current movie. More like that Kevin Bacon movie "The Big Picture" that was about the evils of Hollywood from the early 90's.

I hung up the phone and laughed out loud. A real, hard, pleasure filled laugh.

Now can you IMAGINE if I was a young, struggling comic and all this shit went down? THAT is the really ugly part of it.
Now you know why people don't speak up about this shit.

Hollywood eats it's young.
At least the Gersh agency does.

What a fascinating, and intriguing life this is turning out to be.

The Radio merger wars have begun!!

Yesterday Bubba the Love Sponge on his show on Howard 101 said that he thinks that Opie and Anthony from XM will be gone because of their relationship with Howard Stern and Mel Karamzin, the man at the top. Opie and Anthony on their K-Rock show this morning said that is all about making money for the company and they are in a better position to do that than Bubba, and if anyone is going it will be Bubba, not them.

I never realized there was so much hoopla about my time there.I'm truly honored.I hope you all wet your pants from laughing. Believe it or not,I personally could not enjoy anything back then.I wish I could've but I was being hammered from severe depression day and night. I was finally treated for it a few years ago and for the first time in my entire 55 years I was able to get up out of bed feeling that everything would be alright.So again,I say thanks for your appreciation of things I was fortunate enough to be involved with over the years.I laugh now recalling the old stuff.It feels good to laugh.

I did a lot of stuff over the years but the absolute high point in my life was when I did 4 or 5 gigs with one of my heroes...Brian Wilson.When I was 15 everything I wanted to know about music was contained in all those beautiful songs.To have played the guitar 14 years ago for the guy that wrote ''God Only Knows'' (which Paul McCartney said was the best song ever written) was the greatest thing I've ever done. If you've never heard ''I just wasn't made for these times'' it is spectrally
beautiful and knocked me on my ass when I first heard it.

Thanks to you and all who can apprciate the FM radio days.There were many restricitions on what you could say or even infer.There were still subjects that you were not able to discuss.Heavy FCC then.I think what we collaberated on was fantastastic.You know that making people laugh is of great importance in this world,but to this day,there are still some idiots that think all there is to comedy is reading it.If that were the case-then any jamoke could sit down and be funny on the air.But if you don't have wild ass perforimg skills, you CANNOT make anything funny. If it was all about reading--then I wouldn't have been needed for anything.If it was all about reading I wouldn't have been desirable for cartoons and commercials.I have to audition for a serious amount of work.I don't get that work from being able read better than someone else.They want great performances more than anything else.You get hired for the choices you make more than the words you are given to say. I brought everthing I knew about being a comedic performer to the party.I did a lot of improv in those performances and I'm not going defined by
idiots who were 12 when I did them.If I said,''hey now'' it would not be funny.If I was ACTING like some nobody who says,''hey now'' and thinks they're funny,I could make it REAL funny.Every performer knows what it's like when you're dissmissed by morons.Only the morons don't realize that they themselves will be used as some cliche' type of character in an actor's repertoire.To make others laugh.When somebody throws a tomato at you---you throw the thing back at 90 mph. That's what we did.

Sirius to bail out XM. Announcement coming today

XM And Sirius To Announce Merger, NY Post
According to the NY Post, XMSR and Sirius will announce a merger as early as today. Both Sirius and XM trade near multi-year lows as their subscriber growth decelerates and they face competition from new consumer electronics devices like the Apple (AAPL) iPod.

The companies each has over $1 billion in debt.

A consolidation is seen as way to save hundreds of million of dollars in redundant costs, but the FCC may resist a merger which would eliminate competition in the satellite radio market.

NEW YORK - Satellite radio rivals XM and Sirius say they have reached an agreement to merge.

Speculation about a potential merger between the two companies has persisted for months, and analysts and company executives say such a deal could have significant cost savings. However, many remain skeptical that a deal would be able to pass regulatory scrutiny.

I've recorded my recollections for Sirius about time spent there until I left 12 years ago.I talked about everybody on the show and the old bits,flights of fancy and performances that I did.This will be heard during the special.Those shows were just flat out head and shoulders above of the other station's offerings.Other stations did not know what hit them back then.

I just was blown away by the fact that anybody was paying attention to what I did and I never had a sense of entitlement.I didn't get into the biz to be famous and never imagined I could make a living.It chose me.I was invited into the house and in return I wanted to be the best mostly to say,''thanks for giving me a chance.'' But don't forget that Howard had cultivated that audience from nothing by being the greatest ever in radio.You don't get audiences handed to you.That,I respected more than anything.Everyone tried to take him down.Big dumb disk jockeys,myopic little program directors,media commentators,entertainment reporters and critics.There's all kinds of tricks in radio to get you to listen.Dopey jocks would give away money to bribe people to listen.It had NOTHING to do with putting on a great show.As feral as I already was to start with, I was pushed to more unbridled performance levels as a result of being there.

Over the years,the reason I was getting impatient with people who would come on my website and me ask the same stuff over and over was that I was tired of having to explain myself.I know most of it came from a place of love and believe me I'm grateful---but there would be a lot of wise guys sayin,''how does it feel to go back to being a nobody?'' I would ignore it at first then I started throwing out people who gave me a hard time.It was getting like,''hey,what the f**k,man.Who do you think you are?'' And I'm thinkin', ''what ever happened to,''hi,how ya doin'?'' The thing they didn't understand is I've always believed that you have to be the hero of your

What I've noticed is when you get an afront from a poster--and it is rude or abrasive,it's usually someone that gets banned from websites WHEREVER they go.I think they just do a frantic search to see what websites they HAVEN'T been thrown off of to come in and act smart-assy and ''eternally wronged'' and eventually get the boot.Some people's ego's will not permit them to behave themselves in anyone's forum.The worst one's are the guys doin' their own stupid version of the Stern show.Their agenda is to pester me and cry to everybody who will listen that I've
''wronged'' them in some way 'cause I won't play their game.

Howard Stern Beta Testing Semi-Live Image Feed

Howard Stern fans might soon have access to a semi-live image feed during his Sirius Satellite Radio program. A private beta-test of the new Howard Stern media player is being conducted by Stern Fan Network. The media player, which works along side the standard Sirius audio feed, can be downloaded via SFN by members selected for the beta-test, is ready for immediate use, and promises "photo, video, archive & web capabilities."

To access the player, users must have a Sirius subscription, username and password to log in. The player works like the old version of Stern's media player, but now includes a live image stream. However, as currently being tested, the image stream is a still photo that is refreshed every 5 seconds. It's unclear if the feed will ever go to a pure live video stream similar to the Paltalk cameras used by Opie & Anthony, as that might conflict with subscriptions to Stern's On Demand channel. Paltalk also allows "off-air" action to be heard by users and is a two way device in which O&A can see listeners with webcams.

As of now, some of the advanced features of the Stern media player are not active in the beta-test, but will be activated as the bugs are worked out of the system. The media player is run through the UVU.com player in conjunction with DreamTank.com.

Bronx man gets 4 months in jail for child porn on his laptop

NEW YORK (AP) _ A man was sentenced Thursday to four months in jail on child pornography charges after his wife discovered the illegal images on his laptop and called police.

Edwin Morales, 38, pleaded guilty last month to possessing a sexual performance by a child after authorities found nearly 100 pornographic images on his personal computer. Along with the jail term, acting state Supreme Court Justice Dorothy Chin-Brandt put Morales on 10 years probation and ordered him to register as a sex offender.

In his guilty plea, Morales, of the Bronx, admitted that the 95 images showed children under the age of 15, said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown. When Morales was arrested in November 2006, he told authorities that he owned the laptop while living in the Astoria section of Queens, Brown said.

Morales, who works as a limousine driver, told authorities that he received some of the images and video clips unsolicited through an unofficial fan Web site that he maintains for the Opie and Anthony radio show, Brown said. There was nothing to link the morning show hosts to Morales' behavior, Brown said.

It wasn't too long ago when Steppin' Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden sat down with Beth Ostrosky and asked if she would ever marry Howard Stern. Now the happy couple are engaged, it's interesting to hear Ostrosky's past comments about marrying her long time roommate.....

Chaunce Hayden: Will you ever marry Howard Stern?

Beth Ostrosky: No. For me, marriage is not something that I’m dying to do. It’s just not something that I ever saw for myself. I see [marriage] as very sad when it doesn’t work out. I’ve seen relationships flourish and be beautiful. But a lot of things come to an end, and that’s just how it is.
I don’t know about that. I’ve seen some really successful marriages. Relationships just take their course and either they grow or they dissipate. I feel some people just aren’t meant to be married to that particular person.

Are you meant not to be married to Howard?

I’m happily committed, but I don’t feel it’s necessary to have that actual agreement. Unless kids are involved!

That brings me to my next question.

I don’t personally want to have kids. I never was one to want to have kids. I’m 33 years old and I still don’t have that urge! My brother just had a baby and it’s a beautiful thing, and it’s great to visit and see and hold the baby. But it’s not for me. Even when I was a little girl I knew that I wasn’t going to have kids. But that can change! (Laughs) It’s more of an issue with my family than it is for me!


Would you ever adopt a child with Howard?

I’m one hundred percent for adoption! I think more people should do it, especially people who are taking all those fertility drugs and trying their hardest to get pregnant. I feel the option of adoption is so beautiful. I just saw a special on Chinese girls and how they need people to adopt them. I feel that would be the way I would go if motherhood were for me. But it’s not! I don’t feel the maternal instinct to do that. (Laughs) I’d rather save animals! I have my bulldog and I’m happy as can be! I feel like I gave birth to her!

How do you feel about pre-nups?

(Yells) It’s not going to happen! It’s a non-issue for us! I don’t spend any time even thinking about it. But if I were in a situation where we both wanted marriage, I feel a pre-nup is definitely fair and I’m all for it.

So for the record, will you ever marry Howard Stern?

If it were important to Howard that we get married, then I would be happily for it. But we’re so committed. We don’t need to be married. I live with him and we share our lives together. It’s beautiful. I just don’t need that marriage title. We have a perfect relationship. It just works. We’re so compatible and we have fun together. We tell each other our problems. We’re there for each other. We give advice to each other. We’re equals in the relationship. It just works. We’re full of bliss and we connect on every single level.

In other words, Howard is your soulmate.

Why Bubba the Love Sponge is done with btls.net

I have to say that I hardly ever listen to the Bubba the Love Sponge show. Sorry Bubba marks but his show doesn't even come close to The Howard's show for me, on a terrible day. We have a Bubba forum at the shrine and there are some big Bubba fans that post there--many of the B*A*R*N people like the sandman, midgetmark,lerch, and others. I check out their comments to try and stay abreast of things but, I haven't listened to Bubba in months. Today for some reason I turned on Howard 101 just to hear Bubba say how he is a big SFN fan........how fucking nauseating...and then he said he was done with the other Bubba fan site, www.btls.net. Bubba was saying that he was done with Doug at btls.net because there were threads made there about Heather. Holy fuck. How thin skinned are these radio guys? The Howard gets upset when people at the cesspool talk about Beth, and now Bubba is all upset about Heather threads? Truly a Stern immitator I thought. I'm glad I don't listen to this guy. Brent, I like. His conspiracy shows rule. Bubba? Not interested.

Anyway, I don't know if this is a big deal or not, but someone sent me the post about Heather that Bubba was so upset up.

I finally got a hold of Heather. She has been MIA for about 5 months now and after the _hit hits the fan from me writing this I bet it will be a good while again. I usually hear from her about once a month just to keep up with one another if nothing else. But it was a long time since I heard from her so I picked up the phone and gave her a call. But for you all to understand I have to give you some background.

It has been a poorly kept secret around here that Heather has been involved with the fired radio DJ Bubba the Love Sponge. They met back at Live Stock 13 while we were covering the event for the show. The footage never aired because of a problem we had with images being posted on a radio network web site depicting Heather and Jessica on the couch with Bubba as he did his live broadcast. That wasn't the problem, the problem was that the caption identified the women as "Bubba's whores".

Ohhhhh, gawd! If there is anything that fires me up is when someone picks on one of the women from the show, let alone Heather. For those of you not hip she has been THEE BEST, most consistent, professional, fun, wonderful hostess for the show. She got "it" right off the bat with what I'm trying to do here. I tell the women I want this to be like a little family so we look out for one another. So I immediately got on the phone with the company who hosted the site who gave me the phone number to the company that ran the site. I got in touch with the web master and he happily removed the caption. Apologizing saying he just put up the pictures with the captions that were sent from the radio station.

When I told Heather about it she confronted Bubba who being the ass that he is, tried to blame it on a competing radio station. First, how could a competing radio station get into the secured broadcast area at an event sponsored by this radio station, second how could they fake an email from the email account of one of the employees who worked at the radio station that employed Bubba. Even better, why would they do that? What would be their motivation? If you know the crap that this ass puts on the air then you know it is routine for him and his bunch of dysfunctional dumb-ass staffers to cal women bitches and whores all the time.

I went after Bubba as well and told the fat, stinking, pig that if he ever published anything derogatory relating to the NLTV women on my show again I don't care who he is I'd see his fat ass in court. His response was to have a bunch of high priced lawyers inform me that I can't publish or use the footage from Live Stock. Gutless wonder , why didn't he just tell his mommy.

HA! I have news for them, there is a little thing called the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. I had media credentials issued by the station and had every right to be there. You can't all of the sudden revoke privilege of broadcast rights after the fact.

The reason I didn't broadcast the footage was because I didn't want to give that pig the publicity. He was on terrestrial radio here in a few local places in the US. Granted he was the top DJ but the same people listened over and over. We are on the world wide web with thousands of new people being exposed to us every day. I'm not exposing them the that jack-ass in any light but to expose him for the jerk he is.

That is how he knew about the picture here on the web site. He would stalk her every move online too and hunt down everything related to her and saw it on the site. He used to visit the site regularly when he had a lot of free time on his hands but do you think that jerk could help out a struggling bunch of hard working stiffs like us by mentioning us on the radio before he got FIRED? Noooo. We bust our butts around here for free trying to make this into something and I get more publicity from foreign press than I can get from the #1 rated Dj in the market my show was in and he was dating the hostess of my show. What a cool dude huh?

Heather says it is because we are competition. Whatever, We are a relatively classy but fun TV show on the internet and he is sleaze radio. Don't see the competition. So all you hard working guys and gals who used to think Bubba was your guy you just have to know the other side of him. You made him #1 when he was here and he insulted you all the way to the bank. You should think about that it was your support that got him there and it is the lack of it that can keep him gone. Don't finance his living a luxurious lifestyle at your expense.

The idiot ought to look in the mirror. What woman would really want to be with someone like that if he wasn't rich? A lot of his act carries over into real life from what I have witnessed. Not that I have hung out with him extensively but I have been around enough to see how he behaves and I know quite a few people who know him personally. It is funny how many people talk about him behind his back but kiss his ass when he is around. If he were broke he wouldn't have anything. Including his son. Do you think any woman would have sex with him let alone gotten pregnant by that slob if he weren't rich? I ain't saying she's a gold digger ( cuz I don't know her) but she ain't messin'..." you know the rest.

So now it will be forever before we hear from her again but the door is always open for our sweetie. Now the buffoon is going on Satellite radio with Howard Stern. It amazes me how this guy can be such a two faced ass and socialize with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Tony Stewart and a host of other famous celibs. I wouldn't want to be caught dead with the piece of crap. I don't get it.

People, don't waste your money on that. It is $155.00 a year for the subscription and you have to buy the $50 radio to listen to the same old crap we listened to here for free.

Seriously, what can he really do much beyond what he did here on regular radio? Drop the F' bomb? Woooooooo. It is just going to be more of the same crap because he can't go much farther without going into the area of what would basically be considered like X - rated. Once you go there you can't come back and neither one of these guys is going to shut the door behind them in terrestrial radio. If this fails it will cripple Sirius and that would be a shame as I used to sell it but at the same time if you have an extra $155 there are a lot of good places to spend it that it will do a lot better. Last September, Howard applied for the trademark, and yesterday it was approved for publication. In about two months, the trademark for "King of All Media" will be published for opposition.

It ain't over yet, there's a long arduous road ahead in becoming the true and official "King of All Media." Thank goodness too, because we'd likely see "King of All Blacks." "the Limo Driver" and "the Stockbroker" all up for trademark as well.

Chalk up another victory for the TRUE FANS OF STERN: SFN's illegal file sharing forum is no longer!!!

That's right, Mutt announced today that he is eliminating the highly illegal file sharing forum at the SFN cesspool. Of course, Mutt is saying that he made this decision entirely on his own. I guess he wants us to believe it is just a coincidence that this move is coming a few short days after the TRUE FANS of STERN exposed the 119 page thread he allowed there containing hours and hours of old Stern shows. Sure, Mutt, sure. Anyone who truly knows Mutt, knows not to take ANYTHING he says at face value. He is, afterall, a lying sack of shit. Always was, always will be.No, contrary to what he yells, this is clearly another victory for the TRUE FANS OF STERN. Congratulations and thank you to all who were involved in our email campaign to alert the powers that be of yet another disgraceful activity of Mutt and his cesspool. And according to Mutt, another one of our goals may be coming to fruition: Get someone with at least a half of a brain to help run that place. He could be lying once again, but supposedly DreamTank is getting involved with SFN. Thank God. As bad as they screwed up Howard's bulletin board, they are still light-years ahead of Mutt and his bozo staff. I hope the first thing they do once they start cleaning up the shit there is to relieve Joey Boots of his moderating duties like they quickly did on Howard's board (he lasted just a few days) and get him off of the overused/over abused ban button. I doubt that the freedom we have at the shrine board will ever be achieved at SFN, but one can only be encouraged by people besides drunks and drug addicts getting involved there.

We knew it was only a matter of time (post #1)
As SFN has gotten a closer & closer relationship with Sirius we've all known that it was only a matter of time before this forum had to be shut down. Several times during the last year I came close to killing it but pushed our luck a little further. Between Howard, Sirius, Howard TV, & Bubba, there were alot of parties that would have had issues with this haven of clips. I left it running as long as I thought I could but i'm getting out while the gettin's good.

Anyway, I wasn't told to shut down so don't go getting mad at anyone. As WGAS gets more legit, we're forced to act more legit. I got a phone call and we've been asked to be involved in something really big in the Howard world. (Howard will announce it Monday) I had a meeting last week after the roundtable and met the boys from Dream Tank at this cool private club in the meat packing district. They went over the details and all i can say right now is it's cool and revolutionary. Not only is this going to be great for Howard but it's a real honor that SFN is going to be involved. I'm feeling alot of love right now.

On that note, with the rash of cease & desist letters that's been hitting websites in our community, I've decided to take it upon myself to kill this now before we get caught up in that ugliness. I'd like us to stay on top.

So why does it have to go? It's lots of reasons. First, the Howard TV stuff on youtube has gotten out of control and the word I'm getting is that the man isn't happy with it. It's really brought the internet piracy issue into light. I don't want SFN lumped into that group of sites that are "ripping off" the show.

Additionally, the Bubba stuff in here was really getting out of control. I know it wasn't anywhere near to the pile of Howard stuff but there were alot of bits posted. if you missed a bit, you pretty much could find it here. In the beginning I was cool with it because i felt we were helping promote the show to the stern fans but Bubba doens't need our promotion anymore. The show has taken off and gaining momentum every day. Considering that Bubba sells those bits on CD, I was starting to feel like we were dicking him over. I don't need to tell you all that the Bubba Show has been very good to us. It was time to put a stop to it.

If sites are going to get shut down, I don't want to be one of them. This section was amazing and an incredible asset to our community. Unfortunately it was also illegal. I'd like to thank everyone that helped build it into what it had become. I was in awe when I'd come in here. It was bigger and better than I could have ever imagined it would be.

I am going to work on getting legit clips from the shows. I'd like to still have a file sharing section but it's going to have to be different. maybe we'll fill it with user submissions. maybe we'll be able to get preview clips from Howard TV. Who knows, but I am going to be putting some real thought into it all. When we upgrade the site, hopefully i'll have a plan.

Anna Nicole: Because of that horrible show when he humiliated me and said I weighed 300 pounds! He kept saying, “Get on the scale, I know you weigh 300 pounds!” He screened all the calls and only allowed the mean people to get through and say how fat I was and all this and that. It was really hateful. That’s a really hateful thing to do. Especially when everybody in the whole studio was way fatter than I was, except for him. He was just a real jerk. It was just such a hurtful thing to do and I would never do that to him. It was so rude.
