Howard Stern not considered for Aquaman role

"Aquaman: Howard SternAt first blush, he seems born to play the role of Aquaman. Like Aquaman, Howard Stern is fairly useless when compared to his colleagues. He and Aquaman also share a love for water sports. Unfortunately, Stern refused to take the part unless the movie's title was changed to Howard Stern in the Adventures of Aquaman, Starring Howard Stern. And so now he is not being considered to play Aquaman."

Am I on SFN's shitlist?? by Debbie the Queefer

Debbie the Queefer:

I love the Stern show - been with him since 1997 and have the queef off coming on Nov 5th I had a great time last night and I not only don't see a picture of me but it's like I wasn't even there - I felt strange vibes too, what did I do wrong I'm really hurt - I don't care what kind of answers I get. I really want to know what I did wrong? People were taking tons of pictures of me - Howard TV got me queefing - it was only when KKK asked if he could eat me out and my boyfriend got mad - that's the only thing I can think of that went wrong last night - but it was no big deal - my boyfriend just felt disrespected - but not even a picture out of all the thousands - and someone asked if someone actually wore a costume instead of a slutty - one -am I on SFN"s shit list - if so I won't come back but I'm really hurt by this...

Interview with the Bleeding Deacons by Doc

Doc: Today you submitted a new song, the tranny song. How many songs have you done so far?
Daniell: I think we’ve got so far, I think about 4 or 5. Three different Sal Gay Papas, the original gay papa, the Happy Days version of Sal‘s, and now the last tranny song.
Doc: Where are you located?
Daniell: In LA
Doc: You have to get up pretty early to be on the show then?
Daniell: Yeah, I didn’t even go to sleep last night, until like this morning.
Doc: You have been on the show a lot, so you have been saying a lot about yourself. What haven’t you said about yourself on the air?
Daniell: Howard thinks we should go on the American Idol thing. I’d be happy to do it but we are kind of a raunchy band. I think we would get goofed on for about 10 minutes, then thrown off. But we might submit some material, cleaned up stuff. We are a good band. We have been together a couple of years. We do pretty well in LA.

Our Newest Shrine Inductee: The Iron Sheik

I had the pleasure of meeting the Sheik this past Saturday night at the Killers of Comedy Show in Pittsburgh, BEFORE he got in a fight with one of the attendees. The Sheik was nice enough to sign my Shuli Shalom Bitch hat and take a pic with me. All of the killers there signed (The defiance one Yucko of course signed under the bill, not pictured) I gave them all a Shrine book after the event. Fantastic show!!

Nicole Bass on speaking tour for children

Children at the Richmond Hill Library were not intimidated Monday by the 6-foot-2-inch, 230-pound Nicole Bass, the self-proclaimed largest female bodybuilder in the world.

Bass, a 43-year-old Maspeth resident, is on a speaking tour at borough libraries to preach to children the importance of eating right. She also told them how she got into bodybuilding, and eventually, professional wrestling.

"I wanted to be an actress," she said of her childhood dreams.

She went to acting school, but she abandoned that dream when she saw a female bodybuilder working out a gym.

"I just wanted to see what it was like in a gym," she said. Exercising "releases so many endomorphins that just, you're addicted."

Her start in bodybuilding was rough, she said, noting that bodybuilding competition judges told her she was not "pretty enough" and "too muscular."

"Everybody wanted me to fit into a mold," she said. "They would say 'You need to come down (in weight). You need to get less muscular.' The more I didn't listen to the judges, the more that I found my niche in bodybuilding."

At the 1997 Ms. Olympia competition, Bass weighed in at 214 pounds - what she called "the hardest, most ripped any woman has ever been."

Bass placed in the top 15 at Ms. Olympia out of 80 competitors.

She said part of her motivation for getting into bodybuilding came from her childhood.

"When I was a kid, I was a gangly, ugly, just Ð I was cross-eyed. I just didn't have it together. I couldn't play dodgeball," she said.

Her bodybuilding career led to talk show appearances as well as a steady gig on the Howard Stern Show for 13 years, where the shock jock would make fun of her because of her physique and facial features.

"He'd be like, 'Are you a man or a woman?" And I'd be like, "How dare you say that to me! I'm the largest female bodybuilder in the world."

The children listening to Bass were more interested in the world of professional wrestling, where Bass wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment and Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Howard Stern, most listened to satellite radio channel

Arbitron ratings for Satellite Radio

The report breaks out each service's channel by channel data of both cume (short for "cumulative audience" - essentially the unduplicated persons or households listening during a specific period) and AQH (Average Quarter Hour - the average number of persons listening to a station for at least five minutes during a 15-minute period).

XM led significantly with a cume of 10.33 million listeners versus the 6.6 million listeners at Sirius.

But Howard Stern owned the top spot as the most-listened to satellite radio channel with over five times as many listeners as Opie & Anthony:

Sirius' Howard 100 (ch 100) had a cume of 1.22 million listeners and an AQH of 96,700
XM's The Virus (ch 202) had a cume of 216,800 listeners and an AQH of 20,800
While Howard 100 was the #1 most listened to satellite radio channel, XM's Top 20 on 20 (ch 20) ranked as #2, with 1.05 million cume listeners and an AQH of 21,800 listeners.

XM's listening is more evenly distributed, while Sirius is more Howard Stern

Howard Stern art on sale now!!

ebay seller planetpleasuresiny:

I bought this painting from Lee "Crazy Cabbie" Mrozak about a year and a half ago for $11000.00. I am one of the biggest Howard stern fans in the world, i begged and borrowed every dollar from friends and family to have this painting, painted and signed by Howard Stern "The King Of All Media" Himself. I remember listening to the show in 2001 and saying to myself i would do anything to have the painting. Fans were calling in to the show and offering thousands for it. Howard painted it, saying he could do anything Jackson Pollock could, and really did. When Cabbie got out of Jail, he needed some money desperately. I found out where he was and asked him if he still had the painting.....the rest was history. I just had my second child, I have to sell it as much as its killing me to take the painting down from my living room wall, I have to sell it. Here is the excerpt from the show:

Painting Measurements are: 4 Ft. X 3 Ft. on a canvass

Howard Paints Like Jackson Pollock 4/4/01

4/4/01. 6:05am
(Snipped) Howard recently told Robin that he was going to paint something similar to a Jackson Pollock painting so she could try and tell which one was his. She had been saying that Pollock's paintings ''move'' her. Howard had someone show 6 paintings to Robin so she could guess which was Howard's. She wasn't able to figure out which was Howard's but she did pick out a phony. Howard knew she wouldn't be able to pick it out. He said all Pollock did was spray paint garbage on a canvas. Robin said she picked out the 2 that she recognized as being Pollock's. Howard said he painted the thing in 7 minutes.
Robin argued that she knew the ones that moved her and not Pollock's earlier crap. Howard kept trying to get her to pick out the pictures that didn't move her and she wouldn't do it. Robin was getting very emotional and loud with Howard. He was trying to prove a point with this whole thing but it wasn't happening. Robin finally broke down and picked number 6 as Howard's. It was actually number 3 which Fred had guessed. Howard said the painting was called ''Help''. Robin was still sounded very upset over the whole thing for no reason. Robin eventually told Howard that his painting did look like early Jackson Pollock.

A listener called in and offered Howard $10,000 for the painting but Howard didn't want to give it up. Howard told the guy he was going to do a new painting that he'd give him for free. He said he's going to pleasure himself on a black canvas and he'll let the guy have it free. The guy didn't want to take him up on the offer.

Robin said she never could pick out Howard's painting. She said she just let Howard do his thing after he claimed he could paint something that would move her. She told Howard to just let her be moved by something and leave it at that. Howard said ''I won!'' to Robin a few times to quiet her down. She really didn't care though. The two of them argued about Pollock and whether or not he was talented. Robin said that Howard has to crap on everything that she likes. When she said that she liked Gregory Hines, Howard went in a bathroom and tap danced to show that anyone could do it. Now he's done this with Jackson Pollock. Howard said tomorrow he'll take a crap and it'll look like a Monet. Robin went silent for a minute. She then said that she wanted to crap on Stuttering John because he was just standing there laughing like a fool.

After taking a break Howard said that the Pollock stuff won't be on any of his TV shows. The E! people told him that they don't have rights to the paintings so they can't show them on TV. Howard wondered why that is and why people can take stuff out of his book and put it on TV like they did on MSNBC. That led to Howard talking about the MSNBC special that was done about him recently. He just watched it and it bummed him out. He said he doesn't know why shows like that bum him out but this one sure did.

Interview with JD Harmeyer by Dean

Dean: Were you a big Stern fan before you began interning on the show?
JD: I was. Living in Ohio, I didn't get to hear much of him, I first saw him on the MTV Awards as Fartman. But when I moved to Florida in '92, we found the show on an Orlando station and been a fan ever since.

Dean: What was it like meeting the big guy for the first time? Were you nervous?
JD: Of course I was nervous, but i'm just a nervous person overall when meeting people I don't know.

Dean: How long did you intern for the Stern Show?
JD: A semester and a half and then I was hired full-time

Dean: Did you anticipate getting hired permanently while interning?
JD: Not while I was doing the regular intern stuff, but when I got the TIVO internship, I was hoping there would be a glimmer of a chance of getting hired to do that full-time.

Dean:You graduated college with a degree in film, do you still have those aspirations?
JD: Of course.

Dean: What would you be doing if you never starting working for the show?
JD: I have no idea. Possibly editing. But I had two internship interviews at film companies before the Stern internship and I didn't get either of those so I really have no idea

Thanx for banning me from the elitist vip forum/club/popularity contest (post #1)
I see since now that I spoke against its need and its idiocy in regards to having a seperate listening thread I have been banned from it and that is just fine because like I said it's gay and it alienates members and takes away from the main forum here, THE HOWARD STERN FORUM.........it's nothing but a popularity contest in who gets nominated for entry and then granted entry from those VIP decision makers.

Howard Stern: I Hung Up On the Show In the Middle of An Interview! by Connie Bennett

Now that I'm rejuvenated and excited after a fabulous vacation, I'm currently on a whirlwind media blitz.

As Halloween (which I dub "Sugar Overload Day") fast approaches, I'm doing a whole bunch of radio and TV interviews, as well as print interviews, etc.

For instance, Monday, I began my day by giving an interview to Rick Shepard, a gracious radio host at WKYE-FM and WNTJ-AM in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Soon afterwards, I was called for last-minute interview with the Howard Stern Show. Only I didn't know it was the Howard Stern Show! The interviewer didn't tell me!

All he mentioned was this it was for "Jack and Rod" on Sirius Radio. So I happily obliged and got ready for another interview with a polite, curious host. Was I in for a surprise!

Perhaps I would have easily put the clues together if I'd had more sleep.

Of course, I well know that Howard Stern had jumped ship to Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006. In fact, it's common knowledge that Howard felt commercial radio was no longer a safe haven for shock jocks of his ilk.

Actually, I confess, while living in L.A. six years ago, I used to be a big fan of the show. I would love listening to Howard, Robin Quivers and the rest of the gang while being trapped in my car for long stretches.

But, you see, on Monday, I was operating on a negligible amount of sleep. (I know - I set a bad example!)

(In case you're wondering -- I was functioning on about 2 hours of sleep, because I'd taken the red eye back from San Diego to New York City. Then the 2 nights before that, I'd also burned the midnight oil while hanging out with new friends on this fabulous Bob Proctor cruise to Mexico.)

So all I know is that I'm being interviewed about sugar and its dangers to kids and that I'm supposed to mention Halloween and how all that candy endangers our poor kids.

But almost right away, I sense that something wild and off kilter is happening. First off, Jack and Rod, the two supposed hosts to interview me, disappear, and the interviewer is allegedly an 8-year-old girl, "Kelly," who is in major sugar shock.

Well, "Kelly" wasn't a girl. No way! It was quite evident, from the tone of the voice, that "Kelly" was a man pretending to be a girl with serious sugar issues. So "she" was one of the hosts but they didn't want to talk in their normal voices.

"Kelly" just was not this cool, in-need-of-help, sugar-shocked kid. Instead, "she" was mean, nasty, angry, cranky, belligerent, feisty, rude and obnoxious.

And she had one foul mouth. Did I tell you that "Kelly" had a really, really foul mouth? Put it this way, I would never ever ever use the words that "she" used! Not in conversation. Not in the privacy of my home. Not on the radio!

For several minutes, in my slap-happy, sleep-deprived state, I responded with lots of laughter and giggles, a huge dose of embarrassment and as many quick-witted retorts that I could conjure up on 2 hours of sleep.

When "she" became really vicious and rude, I said, "You know, folks, when your kids eat a lot of sugar, they behave much like Kelly. Kids on sugar turn angry, confused, moody, argumentative and downright nasty," I explained.

"Children on sweets will even hurl objects across the room." (Well, I hope I said something like this.)

Whenever I could, I tried to bring the subject back to how sugar really can mess up your poor, unsuspecting soda-swigging, candy-gorging kids.

But frankly, I was quite ruffled and rattled by the turn of events. I struggled mightily to create clever comebacks. But I usually am well rested when quips easily arrive.

Darn, wish I'd had more sleep the night before!

As I struggled to be clever, I fumbled mightly. For instance, I don't even know if I had the presence of mind to mention my website so people would know how to get help. Heck, I'm not even sure that I remembered to say the title of my book, SUGAR SHOCK!

Meanwhile, as the interview continued, I just listened, aghast, as "Kelly" continued to say the most foul things.

Then "Kelly" turned on me. "She" became really, really raunchy, using words that I wouldn't dare to use here!!! She called me names. She described things I won't discuss here.

And she "began" to insult me right and left. So I threatened to hang up. But then I wimped out -- "she" somehow convinced me to stay on. (Folks, I wasn't on sugar, but I wasn't thinking the most clearly, given my sleep-deprived state.)

Then the insults became really gross and got fouler by the minute, at which point, I acted.

So ultimately, I flat out hung up in the middle of the interview after about 10 to 15 minutes while calmly saying something like, "I didn't agree to a pornographic interview."

A few minutes later, the producer calls me back up and 'fesses up.

He tells me that I'd just been recorded for the Howard Stern Show!!!!

Whoah!

Talk about being taken off guard!

Although I'd originally agreed to have my interview used and to have my comments edited if they didn't make a fool out of me, I believe that I still had the right to back off and ask for my interview to be yanked. But I thought, "What the heck. Let them use my awkward remarks!"

Don't they say that some coverage is better than none?

Come to think of it: I should have seen the signs warning me that this was no ordinary radio show. Seriously, what radio personnel ever ask you if it's OK to use your remarks and to edit them? That should have tipped me off that something off the wall was about to occur.

So, stay tuned. Soon you'll be able to hear me make a complete fool of myself on the Howard Stern Show!

Now, evidently, before the gag airs, Howard Stern needs to give his go-ahead to use it, but, folks, I made such a complete fool of myself that I just can't imagine why they would kill it.

As I well remember from regularly listening to the show during my L.A. days, Howard and Robin and the rest of the gang absolutely love to poke fun of people who do really stupid things. That's yours truly!

I sure wish I'd had Sirius so I'd have been more prepared for this wild situation!

On the other hand, my complete ignorance may make the show even funnier.

Anyhow, I'm still cracking up over the fact that I hung up on a show that has only 7 ½ million listeners!!!!

That's right -- more than 7 million listeners.

Stay tuned here for when you can hear me make a fool of myself on the Howard Stern Show!

Seriously, I'll be inviting you to laugh at me! Laugh with me! My fumbles are all for your enjoyment! ('Course, I admit, that I do hope part of my message will be heard.)

All said and done, I really do feel quite silly, but, hey, laughter at one's foibles and faux pas makes life quite gleeful and wonderful.

Howard Stern still most popular search, O&A quickly on the rise

Howard Stern still tops the most popular talk radio personalities, based on Internet searches, for the 7th straight year. But coming in at number three, are Opie & Anthony, generating four times more search interest than this time last year.

...that is, according to Lycos.

And apparently some people still do use the aging search engine because, Lycos has just come out with the The Lycos 50 which is used to formulate the "The Lycos Top Talk Radio Hosts of 2007" (a list, that for the life of me, I simply cannot find... which might be a clue as to why Lycos isn't popular anymore? Anyway, I guess we can depend on the press release for this one).

What was I saying? Oh right. Stern's search activity increased 44% since making the move from terrestrial radio to Sirius in 2006, while Tom Joyner takes the number two spot on this year's list, more than doubling in search popularity over the past year.

But shock jocks Opie & Anthony, rank as #3 and are the biggest movers and shakers with web users in 2007, generating four times more search interest than this time last year.

See Lycos' full ranking of all talkers for 2007 after the jump...

Now, ignoring what Lycos is telling us in a fluffy PR, let's see what Google says about online popularity and rankings for talkers:

The State of SFN by Mutt

The State of SFN (post #1)
A lot has happened around here in the past months. Joey's been very angry and lashing out not only at members but the staff as well. It's made things very difficult for us all to keep order and some of you have gotten really out of hand. Joey's going in for help and in the meantime, I'm clearing out the riff-raff.

We have over half a million different people here every month. Every single day more than 35,000 people stop in. The vast majority of them never make a single post but those eyes are here and they see your posts. Opinions and open discussion will always be welcome, but the hate needs to stop. It might have been fun for you to jump on the angry Boots bandwagon but it's not fun for me and that shit stops today.

First, Time-out just got worse. From this day forward, time-out will have a one week minimum stay and three trips to time out and you're gone. if you don't want to wind up in time out, I recommend you read the SFN Posting Guidelines again.

Next, if i decide you are in any way bad for SFN or taking away from other members experience here, you're gone. no time out, just gone. I don't care if you're a VIP, a supporter, or have been a member for years. With 35,000 people stopping by every day, we honestly don't need you.

Finally, I'm setting up a SFN VIP Room. It will be a completely private invitation only forum where quality members can interact with other people who get it. It will be a safe haven for people who love the show and if you get out of line, the bouncers will toss you right out. Access will be granted based on your actions in the rest of the forum.

If you think this is too strict, I don't want to hear it.

Penny Crone, Real Estate Broker

When it was reported by the Post this morning that longtime tv reporter Penny Crone had become a real estate broker, we thought it was just some dada stunt.

But it isn't. Crone is totally an agent for PrudentialDouglas Elliman now. There's the obligatory bio, too:

Prior to entering real estate, Penny was a member of the Howard 100 News team on Sirius Satellite Radio. Her extensive journalism career began as a federal court reporter for the Hearst Newspaper in Baltimore, where she was born and raised. Penny next moved to WJZ-TV as a writer/producer, and blossomed to become a well-known on-air reporter in St. Louis, Houston and New York. She also co-hosted a morning talk show for WABC Radio, plus has appeared in a TV movie and theatrical films. Penny resides on the Upper East Side with her husband, who served as a member of the Secret Service for several Presidents, and the Treasury. Together they share a son, Travis, who recently became an intern on the Howard Stern Show. Aside from real estate being her professional, Penny has also personally bought and sold homes and apartments in New York over the past 20 years, with hands-on experience in all of her transactions.
Unfortunately, nothing's currently for sale but she did just sell a 2 bed/2.5 bath @ 207 E. 57th Street.

Me and Boots by Mutt

Me & Boots (post #1)
First let me say, Joey is my friend, he's a Stern Show VIP, and he's a member of the SFN Staff. I know he's been doing a lot of trash talking and it's difficult not to respond the same way but please try to keep it cool. I appreciate all of your support but please don't attack Joey in the process. He's my boy & I've asked him to call in to tonight's super fan roundtable so we can talk and hopefully take a first step in the right direction. We've talked and he wants to get help. I sincerely hope he goes through with it and I'll do what i can to make it happen. When he's ready, we'll work out our issues.

People have been asking me how all this happened, why's he on the staff, are his accusations true? So here's my story. I won't speak for Joey or say anything that I feel was said in confidence. This is all info that been leaked out here & there by the two of us over the past months but it's never been all in one place. I'm in a spot where posting it might upset him & not posting it might do the same. I hope Joey knows I'm making this post becasue I care and does not get upset with me.

Joey can be a hothead which made him the perfect bad cop to my good cop. He's helped me keep order here without me having to be the asshole and I'm sure he got a kick out of it along the way. It worked well for both of us equally. I've always loved having Joey on SFN and though he can be a liability, it's worth it to me. He's a part of the show and when his on air fights would make their way here, it was fun and let us all interact with something we heard on Howard. Now that SFN & I are a part of the show, it's been brought to a whole other level. His online fights can now make their way on air. It's really given fans a feeling of being involved with the show. As much of a headache it can be for me, it's still sorta cool and you have to admit as a fan you get a kick out of hearing Howard talk about SFN.

As you heard on yesterday's show, Joey is going through some tough times. He's relapsed very badly and for a quite awhile. He's on a self destructive path and has been lashing out at those closest to him. I'm one of those people and it was encouraging to hear him admit it.

When Dr Leslie (Meet the Shrink) would talk to me about Joey (god rest her soul) she would explain to me that I can't take it personally. The aggressive behavior, paranoia, and the accusations are the drugs talking and not Joey. We were both very worried and she wanted me to do an intervention with him. I wasn't strong enough to do it. I didn't have any proof and he was keeping things hidden from me. As much as I knew he needed it, I was afraid that if I went forward I'd humiliate him and push him out of my life. ( no, he's not my gay lover) It was a very difficult time and I didn't know what to do. Though I smoked weed & ate shrooms in college, other than alcohol I don't have any experience with addictive drugs. I don't have addicts in my life and simply don't understand it. I told her I'd keep talking to him and ask around. If I found proof that he needed an intervention, I'd let her know.

During the next month Joey started to get really mad at me & my concern. As i told him I was worried, he started attacking me and pointing fingers my way trying to prove to me that he was OK and I was the one with problems. This started all of his talk that I'm a drunken, forgetful, mistake making asshole. If I pointed out things said in the past concerning his using, he'd remind me how I make lots of mistakes like the one time I said he challenged Brent to the Bubbagon instead of the other way around.

When Dr Leslie passed, Joey was beside himself. The days prior he was doing really bad. The night she passed, he reached out to her. When I called him to tell him the news, it hit him amazingly hard. He opened up and told me he needed help. I thought for sure that he'd go into rehab then but it never happened. Eventually I told him how Leslie had talked to me about doing on on air intervention and to my shock, he was mad at me all over again. He felt I was talking shit behind his back and this spurred all the backstabbing talk, threats, and telling me i was not his friend. His take on it was I was sabotaging him with the show.

It started effecting him on the roundtable. Though you guys weren't aware, there was a period of several weeks where Joey was doing the show but other than on air, he wasn't talking to me. All of his problems were my fault. He wasn't really into the show and was not interested in preparing for it. He didn't even want to read the topics. At this same time it was recommended from above that we mix up the panel a little and get some fresh blood in there. We knew they were right and figured that every now and then we'd have one of the other loud boisterous super fans in that seat. Maybbe it would motivate Joey to get back into the show. We scheduled 2 shows without Joey with all intentions of having him in there for the other shows. This is when Joey went on the Howard 100 News with accusations of stabbing him in the back, pushing him off the show, stealing his airtime, etc. I know he told the news he was banned from the show but that really never happened. I know it seemed that way to him but it wasn't the case. He was blowing things way out of proportion, being paranoid, and lashing out. To this day, I feel joey still thinks I betrayed him and that there was some secret behind the scenes plan to fuck him over. Rumors of him being kicked off for talking out against BethO, being gay, wanting to be hired as a co-host, etc are all false. It really isn't the case. We were just going to occasionally have someone like King of all Blacks, Zolar, or Irish John in without Joey. There was never anything more.

Convinced I was trying to ruin his life, Joey refused to come back on the show. I've asked him several times and he's refused to come in. At the height of it all I had to temporarily take the SFN keys from Joey. He was not in the right mindset and was threatening to destroy me. What exactly that means, I don't know.

Ever since then, Joey & I have not had one civil conversation. Every phone call, PM, or email ends with more accusations of me backstabbing him and blowing off any facts to the contrary by calling me a cunt. I've been very patient thru all of this becasue of Dr Leslie's words to me constantly reminding me that it's not Joey, it's the drugs.

I finally just started ignoring Joey's messages. I couldn't take it anymore and just started acting like there wasn't a problem. He'd often make posts referring to messages he'd sent me, but I wasn't reading them. there just wasn't any point becasue anything I said would just make matters worse. As he got angrier, he started lashing out on the board and started having issues with the posting guidelines. The more he'd break em, the more you guys would, and the more the staff had to step in to do something about it. This got him fighting with the staff. I apologize to the staff for having to go through that and appreciate you hanging in there with me. I understand you were just following my guidelines and should not have had to take the abuse. When I approached Joey and told him to stop fighting with the staff over my rules, he was furious insisting that I should have his back. This has been going on for about a month. I've tried explaining that it's my site, my rules, and he should be the one to have my back but logic could not compete with anger.

After many more threats and accusations of betrayals which never happened, I had to tell Joey to take a vacation from SFN. He needed a break away from the computer to decompress. He wasn't handling things the way I wanted them handled and if he's not enforcing our guidelines, he's not helping. I told him I wouldn't do anything to his account but I needed him to just stop worrying about rules, the staff, or doing any of his mod duties. If he was here, just enjoy the site without being the cop. He didn't take this well and twisted into me throwing him off the staff. He told me I'd be sorry and started his latest outbursts against me. eventually, I had no choice but to pull his status.

I don't know what happened in the past days but I couldn't believe it when I heard him tell Howard he needed help & rehab. I don't know if it was a friend who talked to him or just self realization but I see this as a first step in the right direction. I called and spoke to him. He wants help and wants to fix his life. he's really upset with himself. I'm going to do whatever I can to help him get to that rehab. There are private reasons why he can't go today or I'd be on my way there right now. I only hope that he stays in this mindset until he can go.

Joey, I'm there for you. I'm not replacing you with new friends. When you need that ride, you tell me. If you dispute anything I've said here please don't let that effect your decision to get help. If I'm wrong about something, I'll be the first to admit it but we don't need to do that now. Lets just agree that we want to fix things and we'll handle it after you get help and are in a better mindset. When you went to rehab before, you came home a new man, positive, happy, motivated and a good friend. Do this and be that guy again. Perhaps rehab didn't work before becasue you hadn't come out yet and couldn't be 100% honest. I know it must be hard but maybe things will be easier this time around. Afterwards when you think you can handle partying a little, maybe thinking about the past months will make you think twice about it. Besides, gonna be tough to find a guy when you are wasted & angry. Clean and happy makes you a better catch. Please call the roundtable tonight.

This rehab thing is not joey just trying to get airtime. it's real so please help me support him. He has many friends here. I know it would be fun to fuck with Joey now that he can't ban you, but I can and I will. You don't need to support him but DO NOT FUCK WITH HIM.

I love ya Joey & I miss ya.
Mutt

Howard Stern: Still the King of All Media by SSG

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

It has been almost 22 months since Howard Stern made the leap into orbit, but even now, he still carries a huge influence on what is happening in terrestrial radio. When Stern made the decision to move to satellite, the impact was far more reaching than just a new studio. There was a virtual vacuum left in his wake as radio companies scrambled to find new programming, and reinvented their formats in an effort to become more relevant to consumers. Sterns’ move actually became an opportunity for the “little guys” to make an inroads and win over new listeners.

When King Of All Media made his decision to move to satellite radio, there were hundreds of radio stations that saw an opportunity to make their own mark. Being number 1 was back up for grabs on terrestrial, and a shift in the ratings book balance was about to happen. It would take time to pan out, but in the minds of many radio operations, there was once again a chance. Sterns move actually invited a new vigor amongst many stations that simply had become complacent.

It was announced yesterday that New York City has a new number one terrestrial radio station. For the first time in over 20 years, Z100 FM became the number one station in New York. While the press release did not mention it, the feat would not have been possible if Howard Stern was still on the air at K-ROCK. Stern dominated the airwaves for a period of decades. His number one position was so entrenched, that other radio stations simply tried their best at becoming number two, and second place became the ultimate goal that any other station could hope for. When Stern left, the race was on.

In many ways, Stern is actually responsible for terrestrial radio stations thinking outside the box. He is responsible for radio companies taking risks again with new formats, new talent, and a new vigor. Some terrestrial radio stations even cut a deal with XM Satellite Radio (one of the terrestrial radio “enemies”), to bring Opie and Anthony, who themselves had made the move to satellite, back onto terrestrial airwaves in nineteen markets. The Opie and Anthony Show have posted what can only be termed as mixed results. The XM shock jock duo are available in the New York Market, but have been unable to reach the type of ratings that Stern delivered as exampled by the top New York spot going to Z100.

When Stern moved to satellite, there were those that stated that he would make himself irrelevant. That assessment could not be further from the truth. Millions have come to Sirius since he arrived, and not a quarter has passed since that arrival that Sirius has not garnered a retail advantage over their competitor XM. That is only half of the equation though. Sterns relevance also has been demonstrated in the terrestrial radio world he left behind. What has also been demonstrated over the past 22 months is that terrestrial radio is indeed competing with satellite radio. There has never been a period of time where the number of format changes, host changes, and jockeying for position has been so prevalent. These stations clearly demonstrated that they were indeed eager to get the attention of the audio entertainment consumer.

Whatever your opinion of Stern, there are simply some things that can not be debated. He carries influence and relevance in whatever he does. Perhaps that is why he is called THE KING OF ALL MEDIA.

Howard prevents BethO from doing Rolling Stone cover??

That is what it sounds like in Chaunce Hayden's latest Gossip Column in Steppin Out Magazine.

Here

and

here

I decided to ask Chaunce Hayden further about his item and here is what he had to say.

Chaunce Hayden:

Apparently Ivy Supersonic who was asked to find girls for the Kid Rock Rolling Stone cover thought it would be great for Beth so she left dozens of messages for Gary. But Gary wouldn't return her calls...A source tells me (can't give out names) that Howard was dead set against it and didn't even tell Beth about the request... which is probably a good thing since Kid Rock is banging all the girls from the cover one by one.. lol

Bekay, Sean the Whiterapper's ARTIST OF THE YEAR!!

yo yo yo, whatsup my homies? Sean the Whiterapper, long time caller to the Stern show, has been missing in action lately but he recently contacted Shrine 100 news to let us know that he is alive and well and his first order of business: Promotion of course. No, not seanthewhiterapper.com. (Some of my favorite calls Sean made to the Stern show were the ones when he dropped his website bombs and he didn't even have a website. haha) This time Sean wants all you Stern fans to check out his boy, Bekay and his music. Sean says Bekay's song "Tony Soprano's dead" is off the hook yo.

Howard tops charity circuit

October 7, 2007 -- Howard Stern has whipped the tag team of Bill Clinton and Chevy Chase on the charity circuit. Last week, CharityBuzz.com held an online auction to raise money for Chase's Healthy School Lunch Programs, pitting a morning of hanging out with the shock jock during his Sirius radio show against lunch with Clinton and Chase at the ex-president's Harlem office. While a Wall Street investments man paid $82,000 for the Bill and Chevy nosh, Stern ruled as drugstore magnate Les Walgreen plunked down a whopping $101,000 to be with the King of All Media"

Bonaduce vs Fairplay The Video

Watch here

Who is right, Howard and Robin or Fred and Artie?

(update)

Bob Thorney:

http://www.howardshrine.com/2007/10/bonaduce-vs-fairplay-video.html

FYI, you link to a page that doesn't have the video right there on the page. You have to click on other links in the text on that page to get to the video(s). Then the first link isn't even the main video. It is the aftermath video. The second link is an interview with Danny about the incident and the sound didn't even work on my computer. The third link is the main video of the incident on the stage is a quicktime video with didn't even work on my computer. And I didn't even see the video interview of Jonny Fairplay about the incident in their links.

I've got the embed codes to all the videos in the best quality in this thread I posted last night:
