Chevy Chase on Howard TV

Funnyman Chevy Chase visited Howard Stern’s studio for the first time for a deeply personal and revelatory hour-long, uninterrupted interview. Chase discussed his childhood memories of the funniest man who ever lived (his father, who was a writer published in Harpers and New Yorker) and his abusive upbringing with a humorless stepfather. Few people know Chase got his start in show business as a writer for Mad Magazine, comedian Alan King and National Lampoon albums. He was also a professional drummer who played for a band that went on to become Steely Dan. Chase revealed that fellow “Saturday Night Live” performer John Belushi may have instigated a fist-fight between Chase and Bill Murray.
